I thought Vitali handled Peter alot more easily than Wlad did. Although Wlad won every round he looked really sloppy at times.
Peter was neither trying nor in shape against Vitali though. He was both against Wlad. In both fights. IMO Wlad´s wins over Peter are more impressive.
He's just not "athletic" when it comes down to it. He's a physically strong and durable clubber, whose feet are as if stuck in mud and his hands are made to look even slower by the telegraphed, looping punches he uses frequently. The man obviously cannot box with the best of them, and he had nothing to punch at. Even his usual rough-house tactics weren't allowed. He had nothing to offer.
Yeah, but what I meant was I've never seen him fight any differently no matter what weight he comes in at, it's always the same thing with Peter. Maybe he'd improve slightly if he came in properly in-shape, but he generally seems to lack and real boxing ability or foot movement.
Yeah and when he doesn't clinch and lean on his man after every punch or two. :good He would not be allowed to fight the way he does in another era of boxing. And it would show, with tons more losses on his record. Toledo Dempsey beats the Wlad I just saw. Just let there be a different ref and it not in Germany circa 2010.
I was a good fight for Vlad, Peter did a lot of holding and Vlad still is a bit afraid to run out of gas. Peter came out quick but took some awful shots early. Vlad let loose with a few uppercuts and I think Peter was open for a left hooker cut. If Vlad unleashed his arsenal he may have taken Peter out of there earlier but it was a conclusive end and a win. Haye and Povetkin and a if Adamak is still around but I Haye and Povetkin may have a good chance if they press there fights but not sure they will fight Vlad anytime soon. Adamak may but his chances are slim to none. If you look at Peter head getting smashed around from single shots in slow mo, you would have to wonder what Vlad would do to these guys if he could combo like Joe Louis
When Wladimir Klitschko beats David Haye and Alexander Povetkin, I will call him a "ATG fighter". Yep, Wlad is near greatness, not there yet...but near it. I can't believe people don't see how much better Wlad is than Vitali. It's really not even close.
