Wladimir Klitschko Update IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will not be defending his title in December as had been expected. According to BILD, Wladimir suffered a tendon rupture in his left shoulder in his July win against Ruslan Chagaev that required an operation, although that operation is said to have no impact on the delay of Wlads next defense. Apparently there are no longer any choice December dates available for U.S. TV, so Wlad will likely return early next year.

Right after a fight, your adrenaline is pumping and you don't feel as much pain....so minor injuries might not surface until the next day or so, and sometimes not even until the next time you do a workout. And it was a minor injury, he had surgery and it's over. He doesn't have to mention this to anyone until he chooses to.
You don't know what the **** you are talking about and I will leave it at that. There are several people on here who knew about this MONTHS ago. If Wlad wants to keep it quiet he can do as he pleases.
I think most boxing fans could care less, Wlad puts most people to sleep that watch him these days. I however love seeing Wlad fight and I am very sad I wont be able to see a fighter be one punch away from shattering his glass chin
Of course nobody cares, you above all don't spend the least bit of your time refuting/arguing with his fans on this board; frankly...the man has a very minuscule fan base. After all there is hardly thread about the guy on a daily basis-positive or negative. This doesn't also happen to be the 10th+ thread on virtually the same topic. Well said ambassadoratsch.
He has a very strong fan base on ESB, but an equal amount of haters as well. The majority of fight fans will agree he's boring to watch these days, his fights against Iggy and Chagaev were horrible to say the least. One hasn't fought since match against Wlad in feb od 08, the other one was disease infested walk through for Wlad. The guy looked like **** against C - class heavyweights in Drummond and Skelton, so the writting was on the wall far before that fight.
Wlad was injured going into the fight and was made worse in the fight. (thats why he didnt throw his left hook) He had surgery and is healing. He needs time and wont make the dec 12th date when you add time to heal plus time to train. TV times are gone as it gets to close to christmas. So it will be next year I love the haters that say its bull**** because he didnt say anything after the fight. **** off with that ****. He has had DOCUMENTED surgery unlike other we all know:hey
