How would this fight have gone if Wlad was denied the ability s*xually assault Povetkin for 12 rounds?

Still Klitschko in a closer fight.

Povetkin had some real problems with Wlad's size, style and firepower.

Let me ask you this: If Roy Jones Junior were slow, do you even think the Toney fight would half been close?

With Povetkin unable to hold on after he is rocked by every little Wlad left hand, he would surely be stopped and not see the final bell. Alexander's confidence was destroyed by the check hook in Round 2.

Both men benefited from the excessive wrestling that was allowed, and Povetkin certainly didn't mind the breaks he was getting on the inside, why do you think Wlad was the one trying to throw him off by the end?

There's two fights that unequivocally hold the answer to that question.

When Roy Jones fought Johnny Ruiz.. If Ruiz had been able to maul and manhandle Jones he would've had a better chance of winning , but he was denied the strategy that made him successful. So taking away Johnny's awkward clinch box style allowed Roy to comfortably pot-shot his way to victory.

More notably is when WK fell apart against Brewster. The reason is because the ref came down hard on Clinchko for breaking the rules. He even came to his corner between rounds to tell him his holding wasn't going to be tolerated. Taking his holding away allowed Brewster go forward and bomb him out.

A fair and neutral ref would put Povetkin in a much better position in terms of landing punches and conserving energy to apply pressure.
But realistically Povetkin wouldn't need to win with his fists because a fair referee would have stopped that disgraceful farce of a fight and handed Klitschko a DQ within 5 rounds tops. . There's just no way that performance would have have been allowed continue under different circumstances.

It is impossible to say because it did not happen. Shame on that referee.

Povetkin probably finishes WALDO in about 4 rounds.
