I would never count shavers out, if he is able to hit wlad like he did holmes it will be lights out.

 

Yea, i only seen about 10 of his fights, not one of those guys on my list are to lose to him if it goes to the cards, each one of those guys got a sold chin, which you need against a boxer who is fighting with a punchers chance.

Now i just saw the tex cobb fight about a month ago, for about the 4th time.

Him an peters would be a great matchup...Peters chin is granite, i talking before the first wlad fight, were he absorbed countless punchess, an never has really been the same sence. I see peters knocking out shavers middle rounds....

But as noted he got taken out by Quarry in the second round. That is not stamina related. He also got tkod in mid rounds several times.

 

Lets get this straight, just because you have a "good" chin doesn't mean you can survive a Shavers bomb. Ali and other heavyweights all said Shavers was the hardest puncher they ever faced and that includes Foreman and Frazier to name a few

 

He would definitely beat Byrd, Chagaev, Peters, and Imbragimov. Chambers might go to a decision and Sanders would get stopped.

Yeah, Quarry took serious leather and COUNTERED Shavers with bombs. Wlad couldn't take the bombs Quarry took. And He wouldn't have jumped on Shavers like that. Anyway, had Quarry jumped on Wlad like that it would have been lights out for him too. :good

WALDO would have been out of there inside a couple of rounds. As I said before Holmes had pretty much the best jab ever and he couldn't keep Shavers off him, and Holmes had a great chin. What does anyone think Shavers would do when matched with a guy like WALDO who EVERYONE knows has a **** chin?

It'd be destruction in there, and the Klit-ites would no doubt be crying about poison/little green men afterwards atsch

YEt norton never had good chin. If Holmes or ali tried to box wlad on outside it would the most stupid idea in HW history. And to many IFs. Why wlad has bad defense? Did Ali had "good" defense? Why did he end up with Parkinson? Ali's defense not better then wlads based on how often they've been hit by equal level opposition. ****ing Bugner got to Ali. Wlad won Ibragimov(yeah boring but still) fight without getting hit in a head once. Chagaev, Chambers, Peter, all barely landed on wlad.

 

What a stupid post. Ali had NO TROUBLE at all boxing on the outside against Liston who has a 3" inch reach advantage on Wlad and an outstanding jab. He also has one of the best long left hooks the history of heavyweight boxing.

What do you base this analysis off? The last time I saw Wlad go up with anybody that had a modicum of speed, he was crawling around on the ground, begging for the fight to be stopped.

Yet, I'm sure you would counter by saying the great Corrie Sanders is faster and better than Ali.

Ridiculous. Ali was very near the end when they fought- there was nothing left of the dancing.

As for Holmes, they fought two fights and Holmes won every round besides the one where he got cought sleeping.

Besides, Ernie's beard was so bad that Wlad would have knocked him out with the first right hand that connected.

Yep. wlad has bad defense. it's the quality of opposition that keeps wlad from getting tagged. prime Ali had incredible headmovement and speed. he didn't get tagged so much.

Bugner was a good contender. better then most of the guys wlad fought.
