    The Quarry fight proves nothing.

    Stop saying dude now please.

And how is Wlad's style in any way comparable to Quarry's?, what did posting that video prove exactly?

I don't know who would win personally, it's a 50/50 fight for me.

More I see these 70'es fights the less I understand people who say that it was the golden era of heavyweights. Top-8 of 90'es fighters would've murdered these guys.

Yea! many of the 70's fighters lost 1/4 even 1/3 of their fights, what was great about that?

Guys like Brock, Rahman, Ibragimov etc., have routinely landed around 30% connect percentage in power punches. In fact, Ibragimov, as shocking as he was, landed close to 50%.

Whilst Wlad has a solid defence, he's far from hard to hit. The best part of his defence is his jab, which stops his opponents from throwing anything, but the facts say that when opponents do throw, Klitschko is there to be hit.

The argument that Shavers wouldn't land is nonsense. He was a better technical puncher than anyone Wlad's fought in a while and they've all landed with a high percentage.

    Wladimir by mid round KO.

Despite his serious power Shavers was very slow and had a shaky chin.

    How about Golota/Shavers, Bowe/Young, or Lyle/Holyfield?

I'm definitely not a fan (or expert!) of that era and main reason is that we can see the results of that style of fighting by watching those guys today. Only few fighters with seemingly undamaged brains.
