Put up the matches then with your "analysis" on who would win and why.

Maybe I'll change my mind some day but this was eliminator fight and labeled as great one. I just don't see it as anything special except Ali being entertaining in the audience:

Golota folds under shavers' punching power or gets fouled out.

Bowe might take a decision against young but Judging how he looked vs tubbs it'll be close and young might well take it. no knockdowns or stoppages in this bout

Lyle loses in an epic brawl where he is praised for his great efforts. provably a late stoppage for holy

nope it was a good fight unless you don't appreciate technical confrontations. posting little snippets like that doesn't prove anything except your ignorance. I enjoyed that fight.

Shavers gets blasted out in one or two rounds, Bowe bludgeons Young to a mid round TKO, I'm not a big fan of Holyfield but Lyle is not in his league, he gets outclassed.

I might very well be ignorant on that era. Suggest me fights that could change my opinion (without Ali, Frazier or Foreman) and I'll try to watch them with open mind.

    good shouts

stander was a tough bloke if i remember did'nt he bleed a bit but was able to take a hell of a pounding

if bugner fought every fight with the effort and heart he showed in the frazier fight he would be highly thought of today

As soon as Shavers lands a ring hand bomb the fight over, Wlad will not be getting up, seriously.

You're only ignorant if you keep trying to discuss boxing with fools! as you can see Waldimir has never been behined in this poll,:good real boxing fans know who would win, and its not Shavers.

Ok, I'll watch them after tonights fight.

I don't count Holmes to 70'es fighter for some reason. He represents the next generation for me and I'd pick him to win just about anyone.

One thing that puzzles me on this my "90'es "dominates 70'es thing" is Foreman's second coming.. Did anyone see George winning the title at that time even plausible?

I agree. Vlad would use his left jab to keep Shavers at bay. Vlad would also avoid being hit at all costs. The height differential here would play a big role in the outcome. Vlad lands the big punches first, and Shavers gets stopped in the early to middle rounds.

Ali and Holmes were better than Vlad, true. But they did not have Vlad's punching power. Thus, Shavers could fight aggressively against Ali and Holmes, but he could not take such chances against a bomber like Vlad.

I agree that Shavers would need just one good punch to win. Possibly even a strong jab would get Vlad en route to a knockout loss. But Shavers would not connect in this fight. That's my opinion.
