wladimir klitschko vs a peak frazier

  1. well, wladimir is a very good fighter, he would handle joe in the early rounds , with the jab, with good skill, with his size, but i think that joe would continue pressuring during every round, and the stamina and courage would be a key factor, probably joe would break him late, or would take him by ud.:think

Frazier stops him late. His constant bob and weave would create an uncomfortable environment for Wlad. Just like Lennox Lewis, Wlad is a momentum fighter and if you let him get set, given his size, he becomes pretty difficult to beat once he gets into rhythm.

Pressure is the only thing that can keep Wlad occupied enough that he won't be able to settle down into the kind of fight that favors him. I personally think that Lewis was able to improvise in a fight alot better which is why I favor Lewis over Frazier but when it comes to Wlad his approach is slightly different. When Sam Peter fought Wlad the second time he did a little Joe Frazier impression in the first round and although Peter lacked the athleticism, stamina and speed to pull it off; it was the most competitive round of the fight even though it may have it may have very well went to Wlad.

At this point I lean heavily towards Joe but I do keep in mind that Wlad does have the equalizer.

Frazier, constant pressure and left hooks would be to much from Wlad. Frazier, had a great body attack as well.

Can Frazier close the gap and avoid or take Wlad's right and left hook? I don't think so, I don't think his defense is good enough and think he gets bombed out whenever Wlad takes the bull by the horns

This is a ref's fight ... if Wlad is allowed to hug nonstop he wins a decision like Ali did in the second bout ... if it is more moderate, Frazier gets him ...

My technical breakdown of how this fight would go is, Frazier mangles Wlad's body into an edible shape, swallows him whole, then shits him out

Wladimir would take an early leadm over the slowish starting Frazier, but Joe would start closing the gap after the first quarter of the fight. Klitschko would be s;owed up by the awesome Frazier pressure, and after that it would only be a matter of time. Joe by late round tko.

What is the ulterior motive in this one? To show that Foreman is better than Wladimir?

Frazier KO 6. The tentative, terrified style of Wlad isn't going to keep Joe from Smokin', and after the predictable slow start (which isn't capitalized on, since Klitschko is terrified of making any moves that will endanger his shaky chin), Frazier begins to come on strong, slipping the lazy, pawing jab and coming over with the left hook. Wlad survives a few rounds by spoiling, and hanging on for dear life. After recieving a warning from the referee, a tired Wladimir throws out one too many pawing jabs and Frazier pounces on him. Frazier KO the giant.

I think this is a tough fight to pick, Frazier put on the pressure but could also get caught coming in. Vlad does not have the best uppercut but he can catch Frazier with a strait right hand flush and the Vlad Jab is one of the best overall I have seen and possibly better than Ali or Holmes overall. Both men can Knock out the other and both men can rattle the other with a well timed punch. With Frazier you had to just watch the left hand with Vlad both...the key is can Vlad handle Joe's pressure and can Frazier get near or past Vlad's defensive arsenal.....I am leaning with Vlad by a stop but far from a slam dunk

Very good post. I don't know who I'd pick myself, but you make a compelling argument.

It's not fair. Wlad is steroid enhanced. Frazier was not.
