What matters is Wlad can sell out fighting you or me in Germany .He doesnt need the credibilty or recognition from the rest of the world.
He stunk the joint out last time and no doubt will next time. The title Champion is about as degraded as it can get. I have never paid to watch a Klitschko fight and never will.

 

In fairness. He did beat the living **** out of Povetkin. But probably should have been disqualified for all the holding and pushing down that he did.. Terrible officiating, and I'm beginning to wonder if Klitscko's team has influence on the choosing of the referees, knowing that there are some of them who won't tolerate his tactics. But Alexander got his ass kicked. At one point I thought a stoppage was eminent.

 

The bottomline is that he had won 1 of his previous 7 fights. What kind of treatment would Wlad receive if he faces a guy who is 1-5-1 in his previous 7 fights? And before someone corrects me, I know that there are many, many undocumented victories over top fighters that were lost among those 7 performances.

I know that Carpentier is often viewed as credible. However, the more I research do and read about the fight, the more a farce it becomes. It was a classic hype job to promote a low risk/high reward outcome. The only performance that should be noted for history is Rickard's. The rest might have well been staged.

 

He should have been warned, and if he did not comply, penalized, and if he still did not comply, dq'd.

On the other side, he did KD a guy who had never been down with a single left hook. He gave Pov a thorough ass whipping... albeit in an unsatisfactory fashion.

I think the list of long time champions who did not have influence on ref selection would be very short.

It's the timing of the fight that sucks as much as anything. Wlad is coming off a **** fight against Povetkin and this figures to be a complete mismatch. In fact, it's been a while since Wlad has fought anyone of note, Povetkin aside, and that was one of the worst fights at championship level I've ever seen.

Had that fight been a war, I don't think anyone would begrudge Wlad a 'gimme.'

K2 have such a tight rapport with the WBO they forced Byrd to fight Wlad after he won the title from Vitali.
Byrd claimed they owned his ass even though he was WBO champ.

Yes, yes, we all know you believe K2 secretly runs all the alphabet organizations and hand picks the weakest possible opponents they can find. You went on and on that Wlad was ducking Povetkin for a year and the fight would never happen, Povetkin would knock him out..blah blah, you are just moving on to the next bandwagon in Pulev. Wlad is a consummate professional. He sticks to a game-plan and carries it out like a number crunching business man.

He didn't just decide to fight that way on a whim. It was pre-planed and practiced in camp. His own camp and handlers knew he wouldn't be good enough to box Povetkin and put Pabon in there so Wlad could do what he liked. How pathetic is that?
