Yes!!!! Wlad just keeps on fighting the best out there! Povetkin is an undefeated top rated contender and olympic champion. He is by far the most talented technician out of any of the contenders out there. Povetkin is A level. He also has fast hands, good beard, and can punch. This is another legacy booster for Wlad. If he wins this, I am moving him up two more spots.

Keep going Wlad!! Your putting together a great reign of domination and consistency. Pretty soon, Ill be calling you a great fighter! I love Wlad, go Wlad!!!!

I like Wladimir by Unanimous Decision/Late Stoppage depending on if Wlad opens up, because Wlad is a devastating two fisted assassin when he wants to be. Wlad will just be too skilled on the outside for Alex, and Wlad's ATG jab will not be stopped. I think Alex will win more rounds than any of Wlad's previous challengers though, and could bring discomfort to Wlad if he lands few big ones. Alex is a very good combination puncher, and this will force Wlad to open up himself. Could be a very good fight.

    Who do you like?

Wlad should crush him imo, like he has done to all the past people.

    A replay of Chagaev perhaps?

I don´t think Povetkin is as durable but he is as tough. Povetkins is overall a tad better than Chagaev. His problem is quite small but doesn´t know how to use that as an advantage. If he would have better headmovement, fight out of a crouch or would bob and weave he could get under Wlad´s jab and go to his body. Brock surprised Wlad with that and had some success. Povetkin punches as hard as Brock but has a higher workrate and faster hands - and is technically better - he would probably have even more success. But since he lacks the ability to turn a disadvantage into an advantage he won´t have much of a chance. Wlad will dominate him with his jab, discourage him with the right and stop him somewhere between 8 and 12.

And thats pretty much what Wlad did to Chagaev lol.

I guess I was one of the few to enjoy that one sided beat down.

Basically yes. But Povetkins would do a little better than Chagaev. He is better technically, has faster hands and a higher workrate. He will have more success than Chagaev despite getting dominated.
I rewatched his last fight a few days ago and Atlas helpped him quite a bit. His opponent was a bum - no disrespect - but Povetkin showed some headmovement at times. This will help him against Wlad. I like Sascha, despite his babyface he is a badass. He has that icecold demeanour Louis had. I like that. He is not a sympathic guy like Wlad or Chagaev though.

Wlad will win. Povetkin is very good, but 'A class'? Not IMO. Solid enough, but not big enough to cause Wlad too many problems IMO.

He's also been fairly inactive over the past few years. Wlad will dominate him.

Yes Povetkin is A class. He is an undefeated prime olympic champion. He is a top rated Ring Magazine contender. He won a wide decision over Eddie Chambers, and Chambers went on a semi clean out the division run beating Sam Peter, Alex Dimitrenko, Cavin Brock. Povetkin is certainly the 3rd best outside of Vitali and Wlad. Haye is up there too.

Is Haye "A Class" in your book?

Povetkin is very good, but 'A class'? Not IMO, he's done little to prove that. Chambers was better going into his fight with Wlad. Like comparing who should be ranked higher currently between Nonito and Vic. Chambers has done more since.

Povetkin was looking very promising about 18 months ago, and then he just sat on his title shot.

If he'd kept on improving and fighting opponents of the class of Chambers I'd consider him worth a shout.

But wasting his time on guys like Nolan and Mora? I think Povetkin is going to be woefully unprepared for Wladimir. Adamek's got some stick for fighting Grant but at least it's an opponent with the right dimensions to get him ready for a Klitschko fight, Povetkin hasn't done anything like that.

Povetkin is a huge natural talent and was an outstanding amateur.
Sadly his career ****ed up the recent years since he became Wlads mandatory and suffered injuries and moved to Atlas who tries to make an average out of him by any means instead of working on his strengths.
He was floored by Javier Mora in his recent fight when he tried to toy with that guy a bit around instead of finishing him off.
He isnt any serious danger to Wlad but hes the mandatory and since Haye is a fraud the fight must be done.
I´d rather see him in with Haye than with a Klit. I´d still give him a solid chance to outskill Haye.
