Perhaps, but who wouldn't Wladimir destroy with the sole exception of his brother?

I love this fight just to see how Atlas will start yelling at Povetkin after 2-3 rounds, then go into complete panic after round 4 and see his man bashed into a bloody pulp by round 5.

Then in the after fight interview Atlas will give zero credit to Wlad and blame everything on bad execution on Povetkin's side.

It will be a classic. Atlas will be haunted in his dreams by this nightmarish beatdown.

Yes, that's I see it playing out. Teddy won't give Wlad any credit, whatsoever. We already know that, ahead of time.

When Povetkin falls into his face, KOed, Atlas may well leave the ring, then and there.

Both fight the best. As far as I remember Vitali fought Peter in his first fight after 4 years off and MANY(including myself) thought Peter will beat him. Vitali fought Arreola as well and Sosnowski isn't a bad opponent to stay active.

Great news about this fight but did Wladimir accept the blood testing Povetkin demanded?, or did they completely scrap that off?

They already have strict testing in Germany. Total PR stunt by Povetkin/Atlas. They can't be original so they just did a tag along hoping to get mileage out of it. I think they only brought Atlas on board to get Povetkin exposure in the states since Atlas is a weekly (weakly :huh) fight commentator.

quick edit. It is not out of the realm of possibility that they were looking for a way out of this fight or at least getting another delay in which ever org it is forcing the mandatory.

Weakly indeed. Povetkin is set for doom to be honest, not only did he wait for Atlas to pick him to win on ESPN, he's in his damn corner expecting him to win.

    CHEF or anyone that knows....

This has been mentioned, but I don't know if anyone has ever confirmed it. Do the Klitchkos's get aired on ARD? They are the TV network in Germany demanding the strict testing:

As requested by ARD, strict anti-doping rules were a requirement for the contract extension and Team Sauerland has agreed to extensive drug testing via the German National Anti-Doping Agency. All Sauerland boxers, as well as their opponents, are subject to random testing during practice and after the fights.

RTL might require testing. Not 100% sure. i do know that they can be tested at any time once training camp starts. I did hear that team povetkin wants the tests... wlad will agree no problem. wlad has nothing to hide. (wlads words)

I also heard something about if Wlad tests neg during the testing... team Povetkin will have to pay 100% of the testing cost (which I hear is not cheap)

Boxrec took it down. It's not a reliable source to be honest.

I really don't know what Povetkin is waiting for. There's really no shame in losing to Wlad. He has a small chance of winning, maybe he gets lucky. If he doesn't he probably could fight Haye next, using one of Sauerland's options.

Sauerlands 'options' are a financial share if reports are believed, not a say in the opposition...

It's RTL that airs Ks fight (ARD is Sauerland and I assume K2 Promotion will win the rights and air it on RTL as they offered over 10 mill US $ last time when it got to purse bid).

Yeah, I like the attitude of WK - I'll let you test me, but you'll pay out of your purse. Fair enough...
