Surely Fitz takes this. Klitschko never beat a good fighter, ed dunkhorst, something something, lost art of feinting, glass jaw.

Just too much size and weight for Fitz to give up. That's what beat him against Jeffries, that and the big age gap .It would be insanely accentuated against Wlad.

    skillful at being careful :good

which is what so many hate about him including me :think

it makes him boring to watch and tough to defeat

if he was only too careful he would not have had such success

its also related to why I think head to head Vladdy would be far more difficult for the old greats to beat him than most fans consider or want to admit,,,

he fights in a evolved way that has learnt from the decades of knowledge that came prior, in a way that is suited perfectly for a TALLER and strong fighter that also had good skills

overall, its fair to say that Vlad fights SMARTER than most champs before him. I am not saying he is champ because he is smarter than others, lol, I would give that more to the wisdom of Manny Stew than Vlad but at least Vlad was smart enough to see Mannys wisdom without letting his EGO over ride it,,,that in itself is part of what makes being skilled at being careful so tough to defeat, love it or hate it as we do :bbb

Otherwise i enjoy Wladimir's classic fights like the long Wlad-Puritty,
the blistering Sanders-Wlad and the exciting Brewster-Wlad I.
These fights are unforgettable shining diamonds in the boxing history.
Wladimir looked impressive like a buffoon. How smart he was against
Sanders or how creative he was with his collapse against Brewster.
But first of all the Puritty fight when Sdunek trainer outsmarted the fighters
    and saved Wlad's life.

so true, Wlado was not smart in all of his 3 loses, if you took the time to read my comments I mentioned his SMARTs came after Manny Steward became his trainer?

Wlado starts fighting SMART after Manny gets ahold of him because Manny was a boxing genius in case you didn't know?

Anyways, that's what I meant, Wlado employs Mannys teaching and techniques and those are SMARTER techniques, better, more effective, Lennox did it really well before Vladdy did so don't go getting offended at me saying he has a smart style when your confused thinking I am saying he is SMARTER than other fighters as I don't think that. I think the 6.5, pretty dam fast and pretty darn strong has a lot to do with why he has been champ for so long,,,,

I doubt it. Lennox did very well when a bum(Rahman) destroyed
him by a classic one punch ko and Lewis looked like the hot ****
    on the floor.

He's actually fantastically skilled. Skills are not his issues. All time great heavyweight jab. Hooks off the jab. Throws a murderous lead hook. The best footwork of any superheavyweight ever.

Again, a lack of skills is not his weakness.

He proved when the fat bum Peter knocked him down three times.
Wlad is skilled like a punchin-bag.

i go back and forth with wlad, he's great, but how great?

he should have been warned multiple times for draping(a variation on holding that is a new foul he has invented and introduced to the division) vs povetkin, and to a lesser extent, haye. those fights are fuking awful to watch and it was his fouls that caused that, but i feel if the ref stopped the draping then he would have stopped both of them with punches. his chin held up to what they could land and his punches were hard and accurate.

got way distracted, fitz wins 1 in 20, maybe.

He fights the way he does because he is all too aware of the fragility of his chin and his vulnerability inside . It works for him and until he gets pulled by a referee for laying his weight all over opponents he will continue to do so.
