Absolutely.. With no Air conditioning, television sets and the only thing to drink being scotch whiskey made from peat moss and sheep sh-t, Wlad would be in no-man's land.
fair enough, i must of missed it :good like i said, not because he is so smart, that he fights a smart style for his ability, size and skills.
Yes, your brazen intellect has enlightened us all with "the intelligence". Refresh me, are you the troll who admitted he didn't know anything about boxing history or are you the one who has yet to make this realization?
He has skills, smarts ,ability ,and size. He also bores the sh*t out of me. I find him overly cautious and negative.
And I suppose Rahman looked a picture of elegance when Lewis sparked him in the rematch did he? Wasn't he the one who looked up at the giant screen showing the replay of him getting KTFO saying " Oh sh it, so that's what happened.":rofl
Ali simply could NOT fight on the inside, so when the other guy got close, he cheated by grabbing the back of his opponents neck, pulled them down and leaned on them. All Klitchko has done ( due to his superior size and strength ) is take that principle to a higher level. Do you have a problem with a bigger white man doing that, or something?
I like the old timers, but not in this one at all. It's too far back, and the size difference is ridiculous.
I would favor the version of Wlad we saw a few years ago over any superheavy but Lennox Lewis or possibly Vitali. I am very close with the Bowe that fought Holy but Wlad's got a quicker jab and I think that would be crucial. The reality is that there have not been that many good super heavies. I think that even the best version of Wlad has more problems with what would now be considered mid-sized heavies. That said, I think people still underrated Wlad's power. He absolutely ragdolls guys who have never tasted the canvas. That will always be an x-factor in any match-up.
I would favour Lewis to ko Wlad ,and would have been prepared to bet a substantial amount on the result.
The right hand of Mr. Klitschko and the uppercut of Mr. Lewis wouldn't have me betting a nickel on either....except for whoever's got Mr. Steward in their corner.
Yes, we are in agreement but as noted Waldo has a huge right hand, bigger than McCall's or Rahman's. The problem is that neither of those guys were able to do ****e when Lewis arrived prepared.
