Think some bias has crept in there IB.

Am all for refreshing the heavyweight division. By By was more competitive then most (more like Chisora's effort against Vitali) but I still only gave him 3 rounds.

When you typed "feather fisted glass jaw bum carefully matched" that's when I quit reading your post. Him AND his team would fight anybody in this division, anywhere at any time. You can't argue that fact I'm afraid. It's reality. And in regards to your glass jaw bum reference, please do fill me in on the fights he's lost by way of Knock Out! :hi:

I didn't see it 115-112, but I could see it if you are leaning towards Jennings. 116-111 (9-3) is the most objective and realistic score in my opinion and I believe that most of the educated observers had it that way.

114-113? Come on now. You are making it seem that Klitschko won some very close fight that could've went ether way or something. And that wasn't the case at all, not even nearly. You usually score well, but this time it was a bad score.

I think that Jennings won 2 or 3 rounds. The fight was never close.

I will have to watch it one more time for my final scoring.

I wonder how much shame IB feels after re-reading this thread from last night. :scaredas:

In the point deduction round Jennings literally did nothing I think he landed 3 punches. That was a 9-9 round and if you scored it 10-9 for Jennings it is skewing your scorecard.

I love it how just about every major outlet says the same thing, then you come on this site and its "robbery" "fight was very close".

This fight was not close at all. Jennings put up a good effort and won 4 rounds if you're being generous.

Anything from 118-110 which is how the AP scored it to 116-111 is fair. It wasn't a close fight like Roy Jones said Jennings simply did not throw enough or land enough to make it a close fight.

    That's what I had too.

After watching it 3 times, I think I short changed Wlad actually because Wlad clobbered Jennings at the end of the 6th.

Wlad also landed probably the best punch of the fight in the 9th.

Also, for the record, my scoring was fine (I'm perfectly lucid in terms of judging a fight even when lit, kind of like a savant) - as were Taylor's & Weisfeld's.

A lot of you people insisting that it "wasn't close" are disappointing me, actually. Wlad had 7 clear rounds. Jennings edged, on my card, five - most of them relatively uneventful. So while, on the scorecard, with the deduction thrown in making it 114-113, it may appear very close, it wasn't in face all that close a fight. Jennings did better than most Wlad opponents and nicked more rounds than most, and had isolated moments of success and made Wlad clearly uncomfortable - but he still clearly lost. The several rounds that Wlad did win, he won dominantly. Jennings was the one that was close to being stopped on a few occasions, even though he showed a great beard. He never had Wlad in any trouble. Wlad imposed his will, his size, his jab, in most rounds. Jennings shaded the few in which he kicked it up a notch and Wlad didn't really do much, to meet BJ halfway.

Anyone getting their knickers in a twist over any close scorecards, if you really self-examine for bias, YOU are only saying/thinking so because it's Wlad we're taking about. You're somehow offended on his behalf at the mere notion of anyone running him close on points. Don't be. He just repelled a very game challenger, a nice feather in his cap, and not to mention extended his title defense record, 2nd only to Holmes (now by the ****s of a pygmy) and Louis. I was rooting for Wlad, you dolts, because watching him chase the greats' title record, unfolding before our eyes in our lifetime, is exciting. Besides, I thought before the fight and still think a loss doesn't hurt Jennings much. How many people have said in the aftermath that his stock actually went way up? Just about everybody. He is young and has plenty of time for rebuilding and becoming a preeminent heavyweight after Wlad is gone. Meantime, let's enjoy the rest of the ride.
