Haye certainly carries an interesting combination of speed and power. For that alone, he has more than a punchers chance against Wlad.

What I find less convincing is his defence and his stamina. His style is pretty open too. Against John Ruiz fx., I think he got hit more than necessary. That won't work well against Wlad. I guess he will fight more cautiously in this fight.

    Wlad: Power, stamina and defence
    Haye: Power and speed

    Wlad by stoppage.

Just watched a bit of Haye vs Ruiz, Haye is troubled by the angle in which the jab comes in, not its speed or power. Haye cant duck under it because Ruiz is not a tall fighter and throws it from a lower position.

Wlad by exhausting and eventually knocking Haye out unless Haye quits on the stool. It's a mismatch, gentlemen.

I have no problems with my prediction. I always maintained Wlad is the better fighter but favoured Haye stylistically. In many ways, I still think that's true.

i think on Jack's behalf, it was a pretty fair and reasoned out prediction (as versus some of the "extreme" ones by extreme fans)

Unfortunately, no one can predict how a fighter will act and react with an opponent, though it what is predicted is reasonable, compared to the fighter's abilities, tendencies, and fight history.

Haye really failed to avoid the clinching and never capitalized in fighting inside when there was a chance.

He had worked on a jumping in counter left hook vs a lazy jab, or lead left hook. That happened only a few times, and other punches never followed.

Despite all his supposed "intentions" and talk, Haye went in not looking to win, but more of looking "not to lose", playing more defensive than offensive..... THOUGH his "talking" would have led us to believe he would have a much more aggressive approach.

In the end, Talk Is Cheap, and actions speak louder than words. The person who buys into talk and hype is a born sucker in my book....

Most of what I said was accurate and, honestly, Haye had some success. He just wasn't active enough and didn't close the gaps properly but I'm not ashamed of my analysis. Like I always said, Wlad is the better fighter and I knew that before saying Haye could win. If anyone has an issue with me, I don't mind them gloating and mocking my pick but in reality, it was much better than most. How many people ignorantly said "HAYE KO's GLASS CHIN WALDO" or "WLAD WILL DESTROY HAYE WITH A JAB". They are bad predictions and I see few issues with mine.

But yes, I wasn't spot on. If you're petty, enjoy mocking me.

Good point on not knowing how a fighter will react.
Boxing is a mental sport as much as a physical one. That's why I think the fantasy matchups are stupid, We just not know how a champion from the past would react to facing the Klitschkos......People are crazy if they think George Foreman would be completely without fear vs Vitali or even Wladimir. We just don't know what mental stress that could put on the past greats to fight some one who is bigger, just as fast, knockout power, and who has all advantage on their side....

This was a fun period. Ah the memories.

BTW Haye is gonna be KO'd by the first Jab Wlad lands.
