Than why does Haye fight on showtime in tiny arena? You clearly dont know what you are talking about. Never been on HBO one time. Do you know who forthyounce or punisher are or are you all of them?

June 9, 2009: The End of the Haye HW 'Era.'

Can't wait. Say hello to Calvin Brock II.

What supermiddleweight Lolenga Mock began, Wlad will finish, and finish emphatically. So long as he gets by Povetkin and Haye gets by Barrett.

Well, at least Haye's putting his money where his mouth is. I hope he beats Barrett and gets the shot. It's more interesting than anything else Wlad might do other than fight his bro.

And for those who don't know what I'm referring to, about Lolenga Mock (the supermiddleweight), please see around the 4:56 mark of this video:

[yt][/yt]

If anyone thinks that Haye's chin is holding up to the power of Wlad, I suggest they talk to Brock, Byrd, Peter and others.

He fights in the O2 Arena which holds over 20,000 and who cares what channel picks him up in the US?

You don't need the American public to support you to become successful now, its not 1990.

Ignorant americans. His last fight was the sold out o2 arena, more commonly known as the millenium dome, 20,000 people in attendance. And believe me a fight like this would be huge over here, they'd need a stadium...if its Wembley it'll be 100,000 people and I think itd be a sellout too.
German tv companies and British companies would pay top dollar for it... Also Schaeffer has actually said that he will always offer showtime Davids fights 1st bc they backed him the cruiserweights, so its a deliberate move.

As someone who has lived in Britain for quite a while, I found quite a strange phenomenon. In general people are not that patriotic here, nationalist feelings are not strong. However, when it comes to sport, English are the most parochial around. English football team wins a couple of matches, all of a sudden they are the best, their players are the best in the world etc. Same applies to boxing. A large number of British boxing fans really get behind their boxers without any grounding in reality. So many were convinced Hatton was going to demolish Mayweather, it wasn’t even funny. Now were have them getting on the Froch and Haye bandwagons, when there are huge question marks around both of them (despite their undisputable talent).

At the worst end of the scale, we have idiots like Uppercut83, just repeating the same mindless **** over and over. Despite the fact that Haye has a very questionable chin and leaky defense, he is convinced that Haye will destroy everyone in front of him, including Wlad and Vitaly.

I have nothing against supporting your home country athletes, but the degree of delusion amongst some English boxing fans is laughable and quite pathetic.

I agree that us Brits have a tendancy to get a bit overexcited at the prospect of a potential world class operator(s) from these shores but it's hardly 'pathetic'.

I'd also argue that it's a better attitude to have than the Yanks (I'm assuming you're American so correct me if I'm wrong) who seem only to really support people/teams when they're winning.
