    I am not American.

A bit overexcited is an understatement of the century, these boards get spammed with posts like Haye KO Klitschkos in 1, Froch KOs Pavlik. No analysis, no thought, just parochial verbal vomit.

Whats wrong with supporting your fighters, but actually having thoughtful analysis of the fighters strength and weaknesses and actually some intelligent posts?

There are just as many overexcitable characters from other countries. It's not just Brits who think they're fighters are great without analysis. 'Pavlik is the strongest middlewight ever.' 'Kessler will ko Calzaghe in 6. 'Golota is coming back... again!'

Plenty of us Brits are as objective about our fighters as fans from other countries. The point with boxing is that we have so few decent boxers that they become the focus for the hype. Bigger boxing countries have more to choose from.

And with football, we Brits LOVE football with a passion, so naturally we get behind our national team. But read any english newspaper or listen to any pub conversation, and people slag them off as much as praise them.

It's the British media, they whip things up with headlines like 'Our heros' after England have beaten Lichtenstein 2-1. Or when we beat Germany 5-1 they were comparing each player with their compatriot from 1966 and **** like that.

At least they show appreciation for their sportsmen unlike other places.

Have you not considered that they're taking the **** (making fun)? This board has been filled for years with absurd threads claiming either of the Klitschko's would ko Ali or other greats in one round, sometimes citing "modern training techniques". At the moment there's a thread mentioning Pavliks name in the same sentence as Robinson, Monzon and Hagler. Some people just like pissing around, if you lok on the classic forum you see a few of them admitting it.

David Haye is a joke, and when he struggles against Monte Barrett these clowns will all be gone just like the Peter-Ites.

He was the undisputed CW champ so I wouldn't call him a joke, now today's HW division is joke, which is why Haye will be good IMO.
