Robinson is the aggressor, taking lateral steps to anticipate Sexton's wide circling and try to cut him off. Robinson keeps his right hand turned over and cocked high to throw as an overhand and dive in behind. Sexton is keeping distance by taking the initiative, flicking his lead foot out with a jab to the body and a cross up top before darting back out. Robinson isn't able to get close to him or get his arms around him. Very nice work by Sexton, not doing a ton of clean punching but certainly enough to be winning the round (as has seemingly been the case all night). 1-2, low-high, over and over. Finally Robinson gets him in a hug but a quick break is called. OOH! They hook together. That was the first nice exchange, and Robinson's actually seemed to land a bit harder. Sexton flurries, and they both struggle to plant their feet as they circle each other in a phonebooth and throw wild shots.

Having only seen from halfway through the 4th, it's looking like anything but a wide UD for Ashley would be inconsistent with the action.

WTF??? Even in Sexton's least effective rounds he was still more effective than Robinson when it comes to execution of LEGAL boxing tactics.

Round 1

Several high floating jabs by Dunstan. Afolabi uses some slick head movement. A few upjabs from the hip by Afolabi delivered from the outside as he continues to circle and lean back with bobs and weaves. Dunstan tries to line him up with a straight left jab but has difficulty zeroing in. Wild lunging right hand miss by Dunstan as Afolabi just sweeps around him with a quick pirouette. Afolabi reaches out with a pitter patter jab, just annoying Dunstan with it. Suddenly Dunstan is down!! OUT!! WHAT HAPPENED?? The camera cut out at JUST the wrong moment!!! GRR!!


OMGOMGOMGOMG!! Here is the slow replay. They traded simultaneous lazy jabs and Afolabi brought a quick and POWERFUL right cross out of nowhere, smack into Dunstan's chin. ENORMOUS SHOT, knocked his mouthpiece out and flying several feet in the air and spun Dunstan's head around. Terry is still on his ass minutes later.

WOW!

Afolabi looks into the camera and yells "I'm coming for you, Cruiserweight!!! I ain't lazy no more!!"

 

Well, that leaves an hour to kill before the main event.
