Wouldn't like to call that one but if Villa do win they're on for 2nd place with Chelsea in disarray.

Nobody is claiming that Rahman is at his peak or anything. However, it comes down to this. Rahman is past his best, and Barrett is past his best. Is it better to beat a guy past his best who is a former Undisputed Heavyweight World Champion who holds a knockout win over Lennox Lewis... or a fighter past his best who was never really anything more than a top 15-20 guy, who had recently been knocked out by a fighter who would be lucky to be considered in the top 50? Let's not forget that Rahman has also beat Monte Barrett.

I don't know why people keep going on and on about Rahman/Toney II. Anyone who saw the fight knows that Rahman was handling Toney quite easily before the headbutt in the 3rd round caused him serious vision problems.... which is why the fight was stopped and is correctly ruled a no contest. Rahman was clearly robbed in his first fight with Toney. This doesn't mean that Rahman is the best, because I think that Toney himself is overrated right now as a heavyweight. However, Rahman vs Toney II proved absolutely nothing for either of them, other than the fact that it looked like it was going to be just like Rahman/Toney I before the headbutt.

I really don't think that it matters if Rahman was at his best or not. He isn't going to beat a Wladimir Klitschko who comes into every fight fully prepared now.

 

It was said earlier and you said it again.Rahman and Barrett are both past their best.But I don't think you know that you're doing it-putting a spin on it,AGAIN.You correctly pointed out that they're past primes,but then had to go on as if you couldn't help yourself!You stated that Rahman was once undisputed and beat LL and also holds a win over Barrett.Then you stated that Barrett has recently lost to poor opposition in comparison.Hardly a fair,unbiased and balanced summary of events is it?If you were going on recent form,you should have stated also that Rahman QUIT on his stool.Like you said,this subject has already been covered and we should move on from it.
Also,I hope that isn't an attempt to excuse Wladimirs losses at the bottom of your text
