I didnt know Heavyweight boxing has lowered it's standards so much, to where people now actually consider Wlad great.:-(
If you don't consider the top Heavyweight boxer in the world to be a great boxer, then you really don't know how to use the word "great". Do you know how big this world is? Do you know exactly how great you have to be in order to be best at ANYTHING in this world? Look up the word "great"... that may help you.
Like most words in the dictionary Widdow, theirs not just one defintion for the word "Great". In my opinion he is great compared to the rest of the division, but that isn't exactly saying much is it? In comparison to other Heavyweight greats, I would find it hard-pressed to put him in my top 20 great Heavyweights of all-time, he wouldnt last in the 70's or 90's IMO.
Did I mention anything about All Time status? I live in the present... in reality. I don't live in the mythical "All Time" state of mind that you guys seem to be stuck in. I also have no interest in arguing about if there was a time machine, how Wlad would match up against retired fighters from the past in imaginary fights. BTW, yes. I think that it says A LOT about a boxer to be the best Heavyweight in the World today.
Is David Haye still saying he has agreed to terms and purse split amounts but blaming the K2 lawyer for messing up the fight? What kind of vague explanation is that anyway? Kind of sounds almost as lame as when Chris Byrd claimed he never got the career high offer for the Wladimir rematch, one year before it actually happened (which was later proved to be a total falsehood.)
Haye told Setanta last week that purse splits were agreed a month or so ago.May or may not be true.CHEF says otherwise so believe what you will believe
I heard the interview on Setanta. Haye called in and said if the fight doesn't come off in a week or ten days it's the lawyer's fault -- eventhough there is agreement on purse split and percentages. Something about the lawyer trying to pull some strokes or whatever, without going into any detail. Sounds like Haye might possibly be using "the lawyer" card as his out. We'll see...
That was a serious post. That's me everytime Wladimir or Vitali proves the haters wrong.......................:happy
