I would have loved to see Peter vs Arreola, but Peter vs Chambers is a great fight as well. I am not one who believes that Peter is under-trained. What I do believe is that he needs to get back to doing what worked for him. Peter being a bit crude, and unpredictable was his best asset, imo. Trying to force him into being a technical boxer doesn't fit well with his strengths. That was what he needed against someone like James Toney, due to the fact that James is so great at rolling and counter punching guys who just drape themselves on him, yet has trouble dealing with movement, and boxers staying at a proper range... however, this isn't going to work for Peter against someone like Wlad or Vitali who he is never going to outbox.

Peter should have went in there with Vitali trying to push the big man around, making him use those old, injured legs, and kept him guessing which punches were coming. He should have been trying to make it a rough fight, rather than just plodding out in front, right at Vitali's range while being well out of his own. Of course, that is easier said than done, and a good boxer can force you to fight at his range... but you have to make a decision to either stay outside and get pounded, or take the punishment to get inside and give yourself the best (and sometimes only) chance to actually win the fight.

Bad fight for Peter in my opinion. I think he Chambers will box rings around him and make Peter look a little slow and laboured in the process. Unless Peter gains some form, it could be a frustrating night for him. :deal

Peter needs to go back and just be the Peter that fought Wlad and everyone else before him. After the Wlad fight, Peter tried to become a boxer, which is all wrong for him. A coach would have better luck turning him into a ballet dancer than a boxer. The man is built to rush in and bang. That's what he should do. That's what he did against Wlad and it almost worked. Had he done that against Toney he would have destroyed him. Had he done that against Vitali, he may have put him down. But he didn't. I don't know, but to me Peter hasn't been the same man since the 12th round of the Wladimir fight when Wladimir parked him on ***** St.. It's like his car got booted.

good points. I think he will do well against Chambers if he gets inside. If Chambers does that "peakaboo" lean back defense he will be in big trouble. He must have side movement against Peter. I dont see Chambers hurting Peter due to peters good chin and Chambers lack of power which means a full 12 rounds for Chambers and we all saw what happened against povetkin.

:yepThat might well be a good point.

A very creditable source tells me that Wlad is stalling over gloves, and the colour of the ring apron
