Didn't Barrett knock Couser out in two rounds after that loss? And then Tye Fields in spectacular fashion inside one? It's not as if he fought Haye right after the loss to Couser. Now Toney, a fighter you have denigrated over the years, is more legit than Barrett - a man you continue to trumpet as a big league win for WALD??? :rofl

 

You should see the bull**** that comes from all the Klit-ites every time Toney sounds off about them in the media, and he's done it plenty of times. I don't believe Toney would beat WALDO or VITLAY any more than he would beat Haye at this stage but the difference in reaction when he calls out a Klitschko to when he called out Haye is stunning as I'm sure you can imagine

Oh and I'm not putting Toney down here, he's a greater fighter than both Klits and Haye put together.

 

How was Barrett a big league win for Wlad? It was a hundred years ago, back when both were merely contenders...

Yeah... because that's all anyone ever see me doing. Hanging Wlad's career off of his win over Monte Barrett.:nut I have always said that it was a solid win over a top 20 opponent. How does that relate to the 37 year old washed up Monte Barrett that Haye beat? I could see if Barrett was a former Champ, or a 37 year old still performing at the top of his game.... but a washed up 37 year old who was nothing more than a top 15-20 fighter years ago in his prime?:huh

I have also said that the win was fine for Haye, and a logical step into the division. However, to ONLY beat Barrett, and then claim the he is being ducked by Wlad afterwards is absolutely absurd. Yet... people like FW immediately buy into it. If Haye's win over Barrett was a stepping stone to him taking on a dangerous top 5-10 opponent... then it made great sense. However, using a win over Barrett as a spring board into claiming to be ducked by the Champ, while having no interest in fighting a top level opponent, doesn't hold much water.

I was disappointed because I was excited about Haye moving up into the division, fighting some top contenders and making a mega-fight out of Wlad/Haye. Instead, I think that the fight is being pissed down the toilet because Haye went back on his word that he was going to knock out two top 10 contenders. Haye had a chance to make a HUGE fight out of this that would be equally huge for Wlad's legacy, not just Haye's. Congrats to Haye for mouthing his way into the shot, but I was disappointed myself.

Get the point yet? I have only had to repeat it about 50 times now.

 

the lack of decent opponents for wlad to fight has also made this come about, no matter what you say wlad has been fighting some pretty average guys. Before you go on about how they are champions or top contenders, i know this, he hasn't been ducking anyone but the fact is haye is prob the hardest fight out there for wlad the most risky and should be the most entertaining.
