Haye has stated that he's going to move up to the Heavyweight division. Assuming he could get an immediate shot at the best, who wins & how?

He's got as good of a shot as anybody else in the HW division, really.

What makes him unique is that he has devastating power AND the delivery system to get it to Wlad, unlike, say....Sam Peter.

Using a quote I've heard from somebody a while back...

"Klitschko Brocks him the **** out"

Honestly, Haye has the power and straight punches to really hurt Wladimir. But I doubt he would be able to get inside and reach him. His defense is leaky and I see him getting hit with jabs until Wladimir decides to drop the right hand or left hook on him. Probably around the 3rd or 4th round. Let's wait and see how Haye does against guys like Rahman and Ruiz first.

Another match I would love to see down the line: Povetkin-Haye

Well his only real chance would be to poison him (just joking) then go for the kill straight away, throwing his biggest bombs from the outset, and trying to overwhelm Wladdy with his power and speed. If this failed to KO Wlad, then, ****, a gassed out Haye would be viciously KOed in the mid rounds. But he would have a slim punchers chance right to the very end. You just never can tell with Wladdy.

Obviously wlad would be a big favourite but if haye could connect with wlad before wlad connected with him we would be in for a very intresting couple of rounds. Wlad does have a weakish chin despite his obvious talents and has never been in with anyone with the skill, power finishing abilty and speed of haye. I am not trying to say haye could just walk in and ko him but if haye could drop him i think he could take him out alot better than the likes of peter. The main problem haye would face is the height difference and the fact that wlad hits with alot of power as well, so could he get anywhere near wlad without being koed himself. I think haye needs a few warm up fights but i think this fight has the potential to be the most exciting heavyweight fight for years.

haha, I started this exact thread 6 months ago and very few people sided with me, 6 months later and the poll now favours my belief that Haye would scorch the sackless china-chinned Klitschko in a couple of rounds ala Corrie Sanders style.

Too much power, too much speed, too much aggression, too much raw natural punching ability for Wlad to stand a chance.

I'm off to go re-bump my old post.

Didnt see his one fight at HW? Thought not:lol: Haye's power is monstrous at CW and will undoubtedly carry upto the heavyweight division. His chances against Wlad? Very, very slim. However, if Haye can gradually build his way up the HW ladder in a couple of years time he could be able to hold his own with Wlad. Maybe his chin will be abit more sturdy at HW too... Haye is certainly an unknown quantity at HW so far, so we'll have to wait and see;)

Guess you didnt see that fight either:lol: Making abit of a fool of yourself, it was down to stamina Haye was knocked out. Haye was poorly conditioned and threw everything at Thompson in the first few rounds, he punched himself out and then was dead on his fight. His corner threw in the towel by the way;)

David was TKOd by The Cat who was probably even then still the hardest hitting cruiser in the division. Too much too soon for Haye that fight was, showed a lot of inexperience, rather like Wladdy vs The Boss all those years back, very similar scenario.

Regarding your first point, Haye is a natural heavyweight, he was never meant to fight at cruiser, he is way too big, bigger than most of the heavyweights out their right now. That power will carry, I'll bet any amount of money you wish on it.

Not when you are as chinny as Wlad.
