I think this is the appropriate fight to make and for Tua to get one last big pay. Wlad by KO 8, but who doesn't love Tua, come on...

If wlad fights Tua next, the HW division should be nominated for a disgrace award
what the **** has Tua done to deserve this?
Tua in his prime looked like a clown against Lewis, what will happen against Wlad?

**** it, if Briggs can get a title shot, then so should Tua.

Tua has paid his dues in boxing, let the man ride into the sunset with a little extra cash in his pocket.

I know weve seen worse matchups.

Since Tua will absolutely be a massive underdog, does Wlad look bad if he DOESN'T get the Tko/Ko, and Tua takes him 12?

Well, as you said it's doubtful that he'll lay Tua flat on his back and nobody's really expecting that. So if the cuts/referee/corner stoppage doesn't come it won't really be a black mark on WK.

However - if he loses even a couple of rounds it would be worrisome. If he lets it get very close on the cards, it could be seen as a travesty (as much so as drawing with Barrett was for Tua).

At least no one has been able to ko Tua.

But yea, I could only imagine a Wlad SD12/D12 Tua, scenario . Oh the horse **** that would spew from peoples mouths.

    Yep.

Tua destroys Shannon Briggs ten years ago, ten months ago, ten days ago and ten years from now.

In fact, an immobile lump with an average chin that throws 3 punches a round is tailor made for Tua of any age. Best matchup in this world that could be made for Tua.

However, a 6'6 or whatever hard punching guy with speed and skills is quite possibly the WORST matchup that could be made for Tua. Even Vitaly despite his better chin would be a better match for Tua.

I would like to see Tua totally abandon head shots for the first few rounds if he gets to fight Wlad, and just wail on his body with the left hook. that's how he should have fought Lewis, and how he should fight Wlad.

Being a Kiwi, I'm biased. But a Tua of any age deserves title shots ahead of guys like Sosnowski, Briggs, and wouldn't put up totally spineless efforts like Austin, Johnson etc.

**** "old guy cashing out on his name" is practically a done deal thse days for title shots isn't it?

    Oh. I forgot.

    Audley Harrison or Tua?

When 2 of the next challegers for title belts are Fraudley and Briggs, I can't see ONE reason why Tua should be considered worse than that.
