How comes there isn't a thread everyday about ESPN not having 3 Promoters and boxing on every week.

Horrific Fight. I wish Wlad would just retire. Heavyweight division would be immense without him and Vitali.

I just started this thread as don't think many posters were aware if he was fighting this weekend or if there was any tv coverage of it. Just saw an advert on espn few mins ago. Yeah I agree rob its an awful fight but hey isn't wlad going to fight povetkin next?

I'll be watching. Wonder if they will have Maloney on the panel after the comments he made about Manny Steward last time he was on ESPN.

 So, the way that you improve the division is to **** off the two best fighters in it  Surely the proper way to do that would be to find someone to actually beat them in the ring, you know, the traditional way.

Without Wlad and Vitali the heavyweight division would be absolutely dreadful. Vitali is way, way past his best, looks decrepit in the ring, yet still, amazingly, nobody can beat him. Even Haye for all his talk hasn't fancied his chances yet.

Without the Klitchkos all we would get is the pretenders picking up the individual trinkets and defending them at home. We'd get some unification bouts but nobody will give a toss unless a Brit is involved, and let's be honest, there isn't anybody out there who could establish themselves as a "true" champion.

At least with Wlad we get to see a decent heavyweight who at least fights regularly and is willing to put on a decent display.

Imagine how much greater the 70's would have been if we just ****ed Ali, Foreman and Frazier out the window.

At least back then there were other top quality guys who would have still been good representatives for the division.

All we have these days are giants with no ring craft, which apparently makes for an "immense" division...
