Wlad's clinching tactics which he infamously deployed against Alexander Povetkin would not work here. Fury was stronger than Wlad in the clinch but visibly weaker than Ngannou. Wlad's best bet to win would be to try to outbox Ngannou on the outside and eventually stop him or win on points, however Wlad doesn't have the same recovery skills as Tyson Fury, so Wlad would have to be able to avoid Ngannou's explosive power for the duration of the fight. Can Wlad pull it off?
And how do you know that exactly? Ngannou has never ko'd a heavyweight boxer. And Fury has been Knocked down by cruiserweights.
Wlad is stronger than Fury, I think, at least upper body. He also one-punches people with either hand. Wlad would KO him most likely. Could get caught, but I'd expect him to tee-off on the mma fighter's head and once he landed some clean bombs that would be it. Don't forget Wlad doesn't have to clinch, he can box and move as well. Wlad is superior in every way except maybe chin, but let's see how the mma fighter deals with joshie's punch because he might get KO'd quick and then perhaps his chin wouldn't look as good as Wlad's, who wasn't actually chinny, he could take quite a few pops from big punchers.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/talksp...c-joe-rogan-francis-ngannou-punch-record/amp/ That machine might be accurate it might not be. A UFC middleweight broke his record. You would need to measure every boxer in their prime to have some good data to compare it to.
Its honestly pretty ****ing pathetic for boxing that we are even debating this kind of shyt. Imagine going "Who would win Muhammad Ali vs Jon Jones?" etc.
Wlad all day. Again, Ngannou is completely untested and is benefitting massively from recency biased. One losing effort against a dreadful looking Fury does not mean he would beat ATG. Styles make fights as well. Wlad lost to a prime Fury, arguably the best version ever. He demonstrated throughout his career world class ability, power, very solid ring IQ, and overall especially later on some moments of really fortitude. Ngannou hits hard, but Wlad faced plenty of guys who did. Also MMA power and boxing power (punches) is hard to gauge. Saying Ngannou hits harder than guys like Povetkin, Peter, Sanders, and AJ. Truth is we don’t know and all these pro boxers have demonstrated their power countless times in a boxing ring, Ngannou has done it once. Wlad would jab his face in, he’s an easy target, and stop him with a huge right hand. He’s still a plodder and would be perfect for Wlad.
