Should I call you a cyber tough guy for insulting me? It's ok for you to be a dick but I can't reciprocate? Sod off buddy... there's no reason to be uncivil. We can disagree but you don't have to be a *****, you've made plenty of ridiculous posts that I haven't called you on. Go sit in the corner...

Cooney was a bit overrated. Great left hook but he could not win when he fought the big time. I always thought he should have fought Weaver when he could have and at least won a title.

Prime Wlad knocks cooney out early. Cooney had a china chin, when wlad got his left hook going in combinations with his deadly right hand, the fight was over. Cooney got knocked down with a larry holmes 1-2, Wlads 1-2 was just as fast and sharp but had force behind it. cooneys going down and out.

Check your posts and see who was uncivil 1st...I see a lot of differences of opinion and I dont have a problem with that...I see a lot of post that are very far from my opinion and some times I learn from them some times people look at my point and learn something. IMO Cooney was a puncher and his fights with Norton and Lyle were good wins over shot fighters. I have seen Cooney get stopped in the amatuers and I never saw him tested in the pro's vs a live young guy, he lost the big ones...he had a great left hook but did not pass the test IMO, in his 1st career or his 2nd...now check the post and see who was uncivil 1st

Cooney by late TKO. He was a fast starting fighter with good power and a solid chin. Klitschko would have his moments but he would be stopped late.

I actually think Cooney would beat Wlad.

He was big and powerful, and more commited to fight then say, Tony Thompson.

Now, I think Cooney was a better fighter than Corrie Sanders. I also think that this version of Wlad, more disciplined and with much bigger neck/shoulder muscles, would beat Sanders easily and withstand some of the shots he took in that fight.

However, I think Cooney would **** Wlad up.

Wlad is no Larry Holmes. He's bigger, but his jab is robotic, not all the things Holmes' was, it could be fluid, it could be hurtful, it could be a range-finder or a pace dictator.

I think if Cooney was around nowadays as he was against (admittedly past-Prime) Norton, and when he took a fairly big beating against Holmes and showed heart to get up in the 2nd round.....well, to cut a lont story short I think he's a more effective fighter than Valuev, and he has a belt, so go figure.
