The one caveat here is that Wladimir was still a prospect in 1998 and very rough. But even with that said I think he already had far better fundamentals than Jorge Gonzalez who at that point was starting to lose to lesser men. Of course we all know about Klitschkos loss to Ross Purity around that time, but Ross took a beating for 10-11 rounds before he finally caught him. I don’t think Gonzalez could do that and in fact Purity handed Gonzalez a loss as well. I selected Klitschko to win
Admittedly, I missed that caveat when I made my prediction (& was quite baffled as to why this fight would even be debated in the 1st place). Having said that, I'll stick w/ my vote.
