Nah. Lewis eats shots harder than he's ever tasted. He pressures Wlad and forces him to let his hands go. If Lewis isn't on his back, he is now kept honest after getting nailed with 1-2's or a big hook. Then he's outboxed.

This isn't McCall or Rahman he's up against. It's a 6'6" 245lb boxer/punched with hand speed he's most likely not seen. 'Lets just retire' Lennox doesn't just "Walk Through" Wladimir. Lol Sorry. The "Ohh Lewis would Grant him in two rounds!" bullsh*t is just fantasy therapy for Wladimir haters. Lol

Lennox Lewis beats Klitschko Ross Purrity style: he endures a prolonged beating and waits for Klitschko to run out of steam:think. Nah, probably not, Lewis was stopped early twice and probably doesn't have "it" to take that kind of damage.

Lennox Lewis beats Klitschko Lamon Brewster style: he endures a terrible five round beating, Klitschko hits the wall and Lewis triumphs...mmm, probably not.

Lennox Lewis beats Klitschko Corrie Sanders style: Lewis switches to a south paw stance, increases his hand speed and hits Klitschko with a timing shot when Klitschko is throwing. I don't think so.

Wlad would never fight Lennox . Old glass jaw knows Lennox would decimate him. Wlad had the ideal opportunity to fight Lennox after Lennox TKO'd his big brudder LOL Instead of challenging him old Twinkletoes took to the hills & hid. I know for a fact Lennox would have taken that fight to shut both Klit brudders up.

If you think that is right pray tell me why ,when Lennox TKO'd Vitali, Wlad didn't jump straight in and challenge Lennox to get revenge for his brudder ??? You know Vitali would have done this like before.
Be honest Wlad was scared stiff of Lennox .

 Forcing wlad to let his hands go. When has that ever happened? When Wlad is pressured, he clinches. Lewis mauls him in a clinch. On the outside, Lewis a superior as well. He uses angles, can punch on the move and has the ability to change tactics. Everything Wlad does, Lewis did better and more.

Sanders may have been fast in his prime but he showed none of that speed against Wlad.
He just hit him on the chin and won. Thats all there was to it.

The Lewis jab would likely stop Wlad. It would defiantly stun him enough for Lewis to end matters right after.

Wlad was rocked by a power less pulev jab 10 seconds into the fight.

There really isn't that much between them, but I do think that Lewis would win this by knockout. Wouldn't be surprised if I were wrong though.

Point is, I don't think Wlad would be able to clinch Lewis too much. He would HAVE to unload. That's bad news for Lewis. Hand speed department is way different than Lewis is used to. Wlad is faster than Rahman, Grant, Tua and Tyson at the stage Lewis fought him. Lewis sure as h*ll wouldn't be used to someone with that kind of hand speed with a reach almost as long as his.

It would come down to Wlads foot speed to keep it at distance, and his hands to keep Lewis honest. After tasting a right hand or Left hook, Lewis won't be just trying to GRANT Wladimir anyone. Wlads faster hands and feet win this here. As we saw most of the time when Lewis got cracked decent, he got arrogant, frustrated and showboated. Like how he did with Rahman before he hit the deck for a 10.

Lewis' feet are faster. Lewis has way better lateral movement. Wlad just scoots back fast in a straight line. He does that against Lewis, he get's knocked out. Wlad's only other defense is clinching. He does that against Lewis. He gets knocked out.

This idea that Wlad will be forced to open up is laughable, and not supported by any of his fight history. Even if he did, there is no evidence that Wlad can withstand a shoot out brawl. We have seen Lewis brawl before when needed, and he does pretty good.

There's lots of great fighters Wlad would do awesome against. Lennox Lewis is not one of them.

Well you have a right to your opinion. But answer this... Why did Lewis feel the need to actually call Corrie Sanders, a guy he wasn't buddies with or anything, and tell him to "put pressure on Wladimir." ?? If Wladimir would have been his "Lunch and Vitali dinner." then why not make an EASY, WALK IN THE PARK 20 million payday in a mega fight with Wladimir?? Because Lewis didn't want to deal with that 6'6" power punching Gold Medalist that his coach Manny Steward had a crush on:good That's why. Simple! Lewis knew Sanders was a southpaw who could crack, and had freakishly fast hands. So if he went in their with a kamikaze, nothing to lose style, he just might connect on a relaxed Wlad.

Wladimir isn't an "Easy Fight" for anyone in any era. And to say "Wladimir isn't a smart fighter"... Lol Dude just stop with that nonsense

    This.

Wlad vs Lewis would probably have been a highly entertaining technical fight until something big was landed by either one. Lewis had the better chin, but Wlad had better power. I doubt either is blowing the other out early.

    Pity we missed it.

Lewis and Klitschko had about the same punch resistance.
Lewis did not have the two-handed skills or footwork to win.
