Wladimir Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis

Lewis had excellent footwork and one of the best HW jabs ever.

He also had better punch resistance than Wlad, knocked out/down less times than Wlad despite fighting superior opposition. Do you see Wlad still standing after taking the shots Lewis did against Vitali? I don't.

 

Can you find any video of Lewis using footwork and a left hook well enough to do this? Never get an answer on this one

Also, Klitschko was only stopped one more time than Lewis. However, when you scrutinize their respective stoppages closer Lewis was flattened twice whereas Klitschko ran out of gas twice and was flattened once. :smooch Doesn't make Lewis appear superior to me.:tong

 

Klitschko was down as many times in one fight (Peter's/Sanders) as Lewis was in his entire career.

 

Lewis was brutally stopped twice by journeymen and was knocked out by both. The only reason Lennox fanboys claim he lost on his feet against McCall is because the ref caught him and stopped him from falling on his face when he got up.

It was not uncommon to see Lennox put on ***** street, even against less than stellar opposition.

So, to say that Lennox had better punch resistance is not entirely impartial.

Last thing: Lennox had a very overrated jab. It was often used as pawing tool to keep distance in order to protect his chin.

Ok, last thing for real this time: Wlad/Lennox is still a pick'em fight.

 

WK has gone on to win some of those bouts that he was knocked down, but Lennox hasn't.

Wlad's heart > Lennox's heart

 

based on one figth being stopped early whilst lewis was on his feet, and one where he was out cold.

Wrong, because the name of the game is not to go down in the first place. Follow this logic and you're rewarding someone who gets knocked down, over someone who doesn't.

 

Well if it is, I'm picking Lewis. And if you watched his last fight against Vitali that jab was a telephone poll. Stopped Vitali dead in his tracks more than once.

Do you honestly see Wlad standing up to the bombs Vitali landed on Lewis? Lennox showed an iron chin in that fight

 

If Mccall and Rahman were journeyman, what does that make Sanders and Purrity? And Lennox had an awesome jab, can't see how that can be argued.
