Brilliant pick!! Unfortunately it is prime vs prime, and that Lewis would have Wlad leaving on a stretcher.

Troll thread. Lennox Lewis with ease. Bare in mind, Emmanuel Stewart knew them both better than any of you- and he always said Lewis wins.

Steward also said that Lewis retired because he didn't want any part of Vitali in a rematch.

What had Vitali done to deserve a rematch except get TKO'd

Do you think Wilder should give Stiverne a rematch too.

You used Steward as a source to justify your position; so, I assume you find him trustworthy and accept that Vitali forced Lennox into retirement, since that is what Steward said. I'm just using logic here.

Although you did say a guy named Stewart said it and not Steward; so, I may be mistaken or you don't know the name of Wlad's/Lewis' deceased trainer.

    :p

I think Vits is extremely overrated. But he deserved a rematch a lot more than Stiverne.

If you lead in all scorecards 4-2 and winning the match, you deserve a rematch by losing by cut.
And as far as i remember Lennox promise a rematch and Vitali was number 1 contender, and Lennox did not want any part of him. Vitali beat Johnson and become number 1 contender and Lennox was forced to fight him, but he retired, that speak for itself ....

Its fun how Lennox was prime against Tyson, but not prime against Klitschko, just 1 years later. You show what your opponent allow you to show.

Lewis was 38. No reason to hang around just to fight guys he had already beaten. He wouldn't have lasted against the K'bros for much longer, but who wants to see old champs getting beaten up anyway?

Wladimir is 39 years old and still fight and beat with ease the best. Thats how good he is.
Nobody beat this guy in prime. Lennox is not an exception.

This is just a reflection of how bad the division is. And dont kid yourself, Wlad was in his prime for both Sanders and Brewster, he just hadnt peaked.

No, there was every reason to hang around, financially. Lennox had never been such a PPV draw until he put a paint job on a shot Tyson. Lennox had said that he would be around for years to come and that he was like fine wine...getting better with age right before he fought Vitali.

Then he gets lucky with a cut stoppage and all of a sudden has nothing left to prove.:blood
