I agree totally. Your posts are always sound. I think he whips Fury, but at least Wlad won't find it as easy to do the old elbow-to-the-back-of-the-neck-and-put-all-my-weight-on-him maneuver... He might actually be forced to beat a guy with his hands alone. Which he would do, just, it would be nice.
I see your point. Fury has the size to be able to land and he can be very rough and even dirty in close and has shown he knows how to impose his size so Wlad may struggle the clinch as much without being pushed off as he isn't the bigger man here. But Fury is so sloppy and clumsy in the ring and shown he can be dropped by far lighter punchers than Wlad and he'd have to take some big shots to get inside in the first place, which I don't think he could do for very long.
Wlad has no confidance in himself against Fury after Manny told him he would be the next HW champ and when in the sauna , Fury mentally broke him in verbal exchanges. He won't ever fight Fury. Even if the do fight , Fury has the range and reach to out jab him and the inside game to fight out of the clinch and a body attack that would run him out of gas before the halfway point. Stlye wise , Haye posed a bigger threat.
If you are afraid to engage a absolute HWT fraud in David Haye........are afraid to let your hands go and clinch excessively against a never was slow plodding Ruskie.....how in the hell is he keeping a skilled superheavy who is not afraid to mix it up in Bowe off him ? Bowe is all wrong for Wlad, WK CANNOT fight three minutes a round, period, Bowe can, WK has never ever seen that kind of pressure and heat that Bowe brings. Bowe will force a shoot out and jump on him from the beginning. Fact. Bowe by KO mid rounds. BTW, Haye and Povetkin would get the hiding of a lifetime from Bowe, in case of Haye possible career ending.
Wrong. He threw a 1-2 and instead of following up with more shots , he followd up with a clinch. He had him in the corner and he still went in for the clinch. Wach was a non moving heavy bag. All Wlad had to do was string a combo together and the ref would of waved it off. But Wlad could only hit him swith single shots and couldn't commit to a sustained attack for fear of running out of gas. Thats why it went the distance and thats why Bowe would destroy him. As i said before, you know less about Klitschko than you do about the greats you make a mockery of.
Herbie Hide was a better heavyweight than David Haye with a bigger punch! Wlad has never met anyone with the output, intensity and aggression of Evander Holyfield, I'd bet my house that he couldn't take the heat that a prime Holyfield would bring. He'd fall apart mentally and physically, that I'm sure of.
Wlad would be a force in any era. The big thing is, if he's pressed he's a totallty different fighter, from past experience. If he is pressed, and forced to fight at a pace that doesn't suit him, and his chin is reached, he's done with.
Exactly! it's just that there's nobody out there that can exploit him, the division is at an all time low. Can't knock the man because he's beating everyone that's put in front of him but come on, his opponents are a joke!
Great call. No one knocking him for dominating now, however the division is horrid...If he has to fight, someone with a punch who can press him...Brewster and Sanders !!
Well, saying they are all jokes is going too far. Brock, Peter, Ibragimov, Haye, Chambers, Byrd, Thompson aren't jokes by any stretch, neither was Povetkin. (Awful, awful fight though.) Granted, the likes of Mormeck, Pianetta and now Leapai don't deserve to be title challengers.
Obviously I'm going OTT but they are far from great fighters either, what has David Haye done at heavyweight apart from beat Frankenstein? The biggest fight of his career and the excuse for his cowardly performance is an injured pinky toe. To say he's in the same league as Holyfield is an insult to the Real Deal. I'm not saying you stated this but Elroy sure thinks so.
