It took a meeting in the boardroom and a move to Germany where they made sure no fighter would ever be allowed box Wlad on the inside. He bent all the rules to win but gave up valour in victory.

Really ? But,who has he beaten ? As for resilience when he had tough fights and was pressed, he was stopped by Sanders and Brewster... He and his lack of resilience and heart got educated. So, moving forward (cautiously) he employed the safety first style he uses now (clinch, paw clinch, yawn) and got a nice run of soft touches for title defenses. I just don`t see how he fights with balls,sorry...

Something of a paradox, when Wlad first came on the pro scene he was
agressive and really milked that great left hook. Its funny I believe pre
Sanders Wlad would still have done well. Wlad fights cautiously and should
fight better fights, his jab hook hybrid was impressive in the Povetkin fight,
however Manny had to press Wlad to go for the KO against Chambers which was a beautiful one shot KO. How is Wlad going to stop a monster like Bowe, it certainly
is arguable but I believe Bowe has a better jab. Wlad will need to fight MORE agressive
to win a decision, don't know if thats posiible.

Great points made... Even with Manny pushing him against Eddie Chambers, Eddie Chambers !! I don`t see Vlading for anything like that against Bowe, even with Manny`s prodding. I too like Bowe`s jab, faster with proper snap on it. And can you imagine how he would absolutely tear Vlad up inside ??

When you whitewash the division's top challengers for nearly a decade, you stop other fighters from being able to emerge as great. If Ali wasn't exiled and instead beat Joe Frazier 14-1 before Joe was able to build himself as the "champ" in his absence, how much credit do you really think he'd get for it today?

Wlad did fight whoever was in front of him, can't recall Wlad
ducking anyone. I admire his perseverance and hes a beast H2H
but he may go down as most unwatchable atg! Im half kidding,
its just the Povetkin was shockingly bad. Stop clinching use
the jab even more. Anyway Bowe can be outboxed for stretches.
If Wlad came out and fought a perfect technical fight he could outbox
Bowe, but even if that were to happen its just a matter of time before
Bowe will land that big shot.

I just agree with Manny Steward "A heavyweight
champ should knock out his opponents." Obviously can't always
happen but when youre the HW champ make for some excitement
fanfare, good fights, best opponents possible etc.

    Oh really **** for brains?

Gonna tell us that Bowe fought clean and bravely in the fight?

You're the piece of **** that constantly slags off Lennox Lewis, so anything you have to say can be treated with the same contempt one would have for a window licker.

    Moronic fvckwit.

Bowe wasn`t a clean fighter generally during his career. He fought dirty quite often so maybe it was justice to a certain extent that Golota used his nuts as a speedbag.
He certainly fought with courage in both of the Golota fights. So much so that Andrew looked for a way out and found it. Unless you want to believe those punches were an accident which would be absurd espcially after thee 4th or 5th warning.

Bowe was a shot fighter by the time of the Golota fights. Doesn`t matter his age, he was gone. Eddie Futch walked away from him between those bouts indicates as much. The only thing he had left was heart and determination. Not sure why that would even be in question. Actually it`s not.

Riddick Bowe`s career is what it is. Wasted talent wasted opportunity to be on of the true great heavyweights.

The only window licker around here is the biggest nationalistic, bigot on the forum who posted this. Probobaly the most pathetic post ive ever read in my life. Worse than what Elroy would post.

I urge you to watch Bowe / Golota 1 again. There are at least 2 occasions where Bowe makes a big deal of shots that were borderline, thus gaining Golota warnings.

Further I challenge you to show any footage, of any fighter going down flat on their backs from a punch to the groin.

That was Bowe looking for a way out. No more no less.

People around here probably aren't aware of the abuse you gave to Loudon in Roy Jones threads , one of the most polite posters on here , but i remember.

You are one truly despicable maggot and if you ever spoke to people in the real world like you did in general , you'd be fed liqiud food for the rest of your life.

It always seemed to me that Bowe wanted out of the first fight and over acted to the infractions which admittedly is hard to judge, and was seriously hurt by the fouls in the rematch against Golota. As it is I would favor wlad h2h but it is a great match up.
