Style-wise i agree it would be good.

While i think a Wlad/Golota fight would be interesting, you know Golota would cave in mentally at some point in any meaningful fight such as this.

On the other hand Wlad hasn't got the chin of Bowe and can't handle pressure like Bowe so Golota might not reach that breaking point.

So yeah interesting match-up stylistically and mentally.

I still maintain if fights were limited to 8 rounds he'd be the goat

It was bruno who got me into boxing in the early 90's when I was young.

Probably the only boxer i'll ever show bias towards but i'm not arsed, guy was a working class hero.

Golota got outclassed twice whilst prime, against lewis and tyson.

His other losses were both against bowe and grant where he suffered mental implosion. He couldn't handle it when a guy fired back at him.

Do the words "Straw Man Argument" mean anything to you?

    :lol:King of the 8 rounders.

Damn right Bruno was a working class hero. Bruno was a big part of our lives back then and a genuine stand up guy. Always gave it his best.

We need to see him on our screens more i think mate, he gave us a lot and is a great character. He's had his problems but is alright now.

Tyson 1 and Witherspoon are two of my strongest boxing memories from being a young un. "Get in there Frank" :D

There's nobody on Wladdy's resume who comes anywhere near the Tua or Holyfield that Lennox outfought. So exactly where do you get the idea that Wlado is somehow "equally effective" as was Lennox?

And the last decent SHW Wlado fought put him down and out inside of two rounds. So exactly where do you get the idea that Wlado is somehow "equally effective" as Lennox?

    We'll see...

I looked but only saw a string of BUMs, STIFFs, Tomato Cans, NO HOPERs, and Ole Men....

I'd take Golata in a heart beat.

All Andrew would need to do is touch Wlado's chin once and it's all over...

Seeing him capitulate against the bonecrusher and the spoon was heartbreaking.

His success against tyson in the first was amazing though.

The way tyson demolished him in the rematch was nothing short of horrifying. Brutal display by the baddest man on the planet.

Yeah they were heartbreaking and that second Tyson fight was a nightmare, especially because i thought Bruno had a great chance of winning.

I've sorta shut that night out of my memory banks.

Bowe wins the first encounter. Wlad would adjust for the rematch making a closer fight that could go either way.

Uhhh...for the Lewis fight, Golota was terrified for some reason. He was 90 minutes late I believe, a police officer had to retrieve him from a bar. And he was on local anaesthetics. For the Tyson fight, didn't he have bleeding on his brain, and was seeing 3 Tysons? He conceeded that fight and to my knowledge, if he had continued to fight, he would have died. So Golota's 2 main fights in his prime were against Bowe, and we all know how those turned out. Bowe got schooled like a little girl at recess until Golota decided he didn't care about the W and just wanted to maim the man.

Golota wanted out of that fight on fight night but they told he couldn't and made him fight. He had all kinds of problems. Lewis capitalized and all the Lewis huggers jumped on the wagon. After the Grant fight Golota was in a car wreck that permanently ruined his jab, his number one weapon. People will never give Golota credit and say nonsense like Bowe wasn't in his prime while he was still only 27 years old.
