I've never seen anything in Bowe's career that points to the fact that he'd fold like a lawn chair. Golota put it on his ass, and he out willed Golota. That's why Andrew quit. Typical statement from an idiot like yourself.

Not quite as easy to keep the fight so neat and tidy when your opponent is your size, wants to win, and has a brutal overhand right. You guys have been watching to many fights with Vlad fighting short fighters. Vlad wasn't dominating Thompson from the outside, so he's gonna box and go unscathed against Riddick Bowe? He doesn't have to wanna exchange. He'll have no choice because it's not easy keeping another big guy honest that's not just gonna stand there and take a beating. BTW, Holy only stood inside with Bowe because Bowe was using his jab well, and Holy would not have won that battle. Holy only won the 2nd fight because of movement..... and the fan man.

Even if Bowe lands 10% of what he did against Holyfield, Wlad would still be in trouble. I actually think this would be a great fight, and if Bowe could get inside the jab, I honestly think he could out muscle and out hustle Wlad, score the KO. The question is though, could he get inside.

Correct! Golota has been stopped of late a few times, but those stoppages were late in his career. His chin looked ok before the Lewis fight. LL ruined him.

I don't think he has to get inside. For the 1st time Vlad would be facing a puncher that is his own size that has a generous reach, a good jab and top experience as an ammie and as a pro. I see Vlad as a better boxer, but not so much so that Bowe can't make it a fight.

thompson has a solid defense though and keeps a tight guard while pressuring. Bowe always had huge defensive liabilities imo which is why im picking wlad...and i didn't say it would be an easy fight either. Bowe was very good and he's got a chance here and it would be rough fight either way imo.
i just think wlad's power, speed, left and ability to keep the fight on his terms would prove a bit too much for riddick. Now if it got to an inside fight, no doubt who wins there. I just see certain advantages for Wlad on the outside.

Perhaps Riddick could pressure Wlad while taking shots and do some damage....Could you point to an example in Bowe's career where he did this? that might change my thinking

agreed. i might revise the number to 20% though....afterall, i am wlad nuthugger :think

This is true, but that does not take away from the fact that he was a top rated heavyweight at that point in time. Some experts say he would have beaten Lewis. Golota had his chance with Lewis but he lost that one before he even stepped into the ring.

Golota's chin is so much better than Wlad's. Golota's problem was never a fragile chin, but a fragile brain.

Bowe came into the second Golota fight in the best shape in his life, knowing that if he "lost" to him again it would be over for him. I don't buy the crap that Bowe was shot. In the 1st fight he simply underestimated him thinking he's just another "white bum".

I think very highly of Wlad but I'm not sure he could handle Bowe.

Until you get clocked square in the nose by prime Golota and prime Wlad you can't say Wlad has more power than Golota. People say Wlad has big arms... Golota's arms were even bigger, his chest was thicker, neck was thicker, and his gut was thicker and his chin was like cinder block. If anything it was Golota that had more power. Look at him in the Ruiz fight... he punched Ruiz going backwards and knocked his ass down. And that was years past his prime!
