What makes Marciano more susceptible to slips than any other heavy handed power puncher?

What happened to all the stories of Marciano falling to the ring due to poor balance all the time? I think I’ve seen him slip to the canvas one time. As I have with Lewis, Foreman, etc.

Willard is light years from a guy like Wladimir in boxing ability though.

This thread was already done and the forum raged for a month about it.

The more time goes one though, the more I think Marciano would have had major problems with Wlad. That's because most on the guys he fought were trying to engage him and put some form of pressure on him. Wlad explicity doesn't want to engage with little guys and uses his size and footwork to keep them on the outside and knock them to pieces with the jab. Assuming Marciano manages to close the distance somehow he's got the power to dent that chin, but even there - is he going to land enough to degrade Wlad? Maybe, but I wouldn't put money on it. And if they get a ref that allows hugging, Marciano is toast.

Marciano is leagues better then Sanders. Eventually the Rock wears him down with the constant pressure and crowding (don’t think Marciano would let him get away with leaning without doing something dirty back). Eventually night night for Wlad.

Sanders and Marciano are leagues apart as fighters and fighting styles.

Boxing isn't a set of numbers that you can compare and say "oh, Vegeta is over 9000, he beats Goku."
