Marciano would come in closer to Povetkin style and he’d make Wlad come in on him with his lean style. Idk how that would look with Wlad leaving on someone that much shorter? Idk if it would be as affective especially when he’s def getting a low blow or head butt for his efforts. Marciano also threw uppercuts which Povetkin didn’t do. Wlad for the record fought an excellent fight that fight but I do think Marciano is better then Povetkin.
Haye isn't a better fundamental fighter than Marciano by any stretch of the imagination. Also Marciano always found a way to get inside, it's what he had to do. He's better at it than anyone Wlad fought.
Lol Haye definitely has better fundamentals, and head-movement, than Marciano. That shouldn't be, and isn't, even up for debate. "He found a way"? Is that your argument. Wlad is better at keeping a fight at arm's length than anyone Marciano fought. See how that works both ways? And Wlad is much better at that than Marciano's opponents were, than Marciano was at getting up close compared to Wlad's opponents.
There are numerous videos that break down Marciano's skill set. Idk if Wads jab was as good as Louis jab. They were different. Marciano was an unconventional fighter doesn’t mean he wasn’t skilled ag what he did. The man literally had to get inside of everyone he fought a jab. He was obviously very capable
Not at coming forward. His ambush style was at his best when guys would come at him. And lol@ calming a falsity isn't up for debate. Haye was no better on the front foot than Bermane Stiverne.
You pretty much disqualify the rest of your opinions with this one. But who did he have to get past? A bunch of 6 foot old men with their wheels falling off and 73" reaches. Not quite the sames animal as a prime Waldo.
These videos suck up to him and treat him like a mastermind. Disingenuousness at it's finest. Marciano wasn't skilled, he has other things that made him successful. His stamina, power and resolve being the main things. He wasn't that capable, the jabs he fought weren't on a level of Wlad's, or even 3 below it. Knocked every guy he met above 6 ft out. 6”4 prospect into a coma with an uppercut. Idk how he got by his jab though as there is no video. Obviously no one with Wlads skills but let’s face it Wlad didn’t beat anyone close to as good as Marciano. They are both similar in that respect they didn’t have a prime opponent to face that would define their careers. Although I’d take Archie, Walcott, Charles over Byrd Povetkin Haye as far as quality wins goes. Rocky wasn’t the mastermind by the way but his corner was pretty smart. Goldman created a style specifically for Rocky
I like Wlads jab but please don’t confuse it with Holmes Liston or Foremans or Lennox jab. It was different and more used to set up the right. Watch Povetkin fight and tell me if he had any problem getting inside whatsoever? The answer is no. What Wlad did well there was jumped on top of him every time he did get in and illegally held him. I don’t think he gets away with that with marciano
