Again 69 professional fights at Heavyweight, dozens of amateur fights on top of that, all the training/sparring and reigning 10 years unbeaten for someone whose never done anything to call him a coward online is just laughable.

It's honestly amazing how much fandom can cause people to detach themselves from reality, Rocky Marciano was great for his day but wouldn't be able to touch either Klitschko or other super heavies like Lennox Lewis or Tyson Fury, the size difference AND skill combined is just way too much, why is it that no one since with Marciano's proportions or size have come along since? It's because in this day and age they physically can't.

    Let's look at the stats:

Wladimir Klitschko is listed 6'6 (More like 6'5) With an 81 inch reach and during his long reign he weighed anywhere from 238 pounds at his lowest to his heaviest of 249 pounds.

Rocky Marciano was listed anywhere from 5'10-5'11 with a 67 inch reach and fought all his championship fights anywhere from 184-187 pounds, he even weighed as low as 178 pounds in some earlier fights.

Marciano was a bull would push forward and take two to give one but that's not working against man with 7 inch height advantage, 14 inch reach advantage AND a 55-60 pound weight advantage, when was the last time someone was able to overcome them odds?Would anyone here pick a strawweight to beat a middleweight? That's pretty much the difference here in this fantasy fight. Wladimir would keep Marciano at bay with his powerful jab then fire off straight rights at will, Wladimir has a great left hook too but he wouldn't need it, any time Marciano would get close Wladimir would just grab him and lean on him, the weight/strength advantage would drain Marciano to the point which he never felt before.

Also another thing people bring up is Wladimir's "Glass chin" Yes his chin wasn't the best, when fighting actual heavyweights, the lightest guy to knock Wladimir down was DaVaryll Williamson who 218 pounds which is 29 pounds heavier than Marciano's heaviest when at his best, not to mention Williamson was also 6'4 with an 80 inch reach and had 23 knockouts in 27 wins. We also saw Wladimir take bombs off Anthony Joshua in his final fight after a year and a half out the ring, could Marciano have absorbed them shots? I highly doubt it.

The shortest person to beat Wladimir was 6'2 and the two lightest people that beat him were 225 and 226 pounds, the other three men that did it were 247-250 pounds and 6'3-6'9 (Fury is more like just under 6'8 actually)

Now people will mention Marciano did in fact best some fighters weighing 200+ pounds which is true yet none of them came close to the ability of Wladimir, the best fighter he beat over 200 pounds was a faded Joe Louis that weighed 213 pounds. The heaviest fighter Marciano beat was 254 pound Humphrey Jackson that had a record of 4 wins and 3 losses and never fought again after the Marciano fight. The second heaviest fighter Marciano beat was Johnny Shkor who was 6'4 and weighed 220 pounds and ended his career with a record of 31 wins 19 losses and 2 draws. Neither of these are indicators that Marciano could handle a super Heavyweight with two fisted power, great footwork, handspeed and the ability to use his size/strength in clinches.

Marciano was a great fighter for his time and yes he was "Tougher" Than Wladimir, he did embrace that old school badassery that Wladimir doesn't, Rocky does have more all time great entertaining fights, hell I doubt Wladimir would want to continue with that split in his nose like Marciano did and I'd say Marciano would probably be better in a street brawl than Wladimir but in a boxing ring this goes Wladimir's way 9 times out of 10, Wladimir wins in 5 rounds max with Marciano tasting power like he never has before, it would be even worse against Vitali as Vitali wouldn't be as cautious as Wladimir was. There's a reason they had to make the Cruiserweight division, there's a reason Evander Holyfield felt the need to bulk up instead of just weighing 205 pounds after getting beat by Riddick Bowe and there's a reason why Eddie Chambers was never able to be a World Champion fighting as low as 202 pounds.

I could absolutely see Wladimir being undefeated if he fought everyone Marciano fought, Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles might confuse him at times but that would just make Wladimir cautious and if he had to just jab and grab all night he would, Abe Simon who didn't have half the skills of modern super Heavyweights and had no idea how to use his reach advantage but was still able to knock out Jersey Joe Walcott who he had a 64 pound weight advantage on. Does anyone believe Marciano could have completed Wladimir's 10 year reign without losing with his his physical disadvantages? It's not insane to think Rocky would lose to guys along the way potentially like Chris Byrd, Samuel Peter, Tony Thompson, Hasim Rahman, Alexander Povetkin etc As taking shots off guys that size is not good for your health, especially even more when your outweighed and a lot shorter in terms of height/reach.

So yeah Wladimir Klitschko takes Marciano in 4-5 rounds max.

Tua was a roided up fat Marciano. He did alright for himself. Pretty much identical height and reach. You know the guy the Klitschkos avoided because of his chin and mean left hook.

Tua still had about 30-35 pounds on Marciano and had a much better chin, not to mention got dominated by Lennox Lewis to the point he couldn't do anything.

Also any proof to Tua being roided or are you just mad that he's bigger than Marciano? Also any proof that the Klitschko brothers ducked him?

By the way I'm not saying Marciano couldn't beat Tua, I think he has a much better chance against Tua than either Klitschko brother.

Hate to break it to you but everyone is roided. …Everyone. Why would I be mad Tua was fat? Some strange arguments here sometimes. I don’t think Marciano would beat Lewis (although he does better than Tua did). Think he knocks out Wlad though.

Tua was bigger than Marciano, facts though you can say he was far to make yourself feel better but he had lots of muscle and probably the biggest legs out of any notable Heavyweights.

You also don't seem to like Wladimir at all, I personally have no problems with either Marciano or Wladimir and never had those connections with fighters that many do on here, sure I got favourites but if they lose, they lose as I'm not gonna make any excuses for them like people do on here as it is what it is.

There's no proof that Marciano could handle a guy with the size, power, strength, footwork and speed of a Wladimir Klitschko while there is proof that Wladimir can handle much smaller men. Why has there been no Heavyweights barely over 201 pounds with a minus 70 inch reach winning Heavyweight championships since? Like I said Holyfield realized he had to bulk up more after the Bowe loss, why did they bring in the Cruiserweight division? If there were as many giants in the division in the 50's as there is now they would have brought in the Cruiserweight division much earlier.

Why does no one pick a strawweight to beat a middleweight? That's literally the difference between Marciano and Wladimir Klitschko.

Nobody wins it because there’s a cruiserweihht division. LHWs move up all the time. Even MWs like Toney moved up and found success. Gaining weight is not a skill. Boxing is. Who said I hate Wlad? Lol again strange comments. I like Wlad a lot. One of the most underrated defensive HWs of all time! But…he did have a weakness for left hooks. That’s why Sanders never got a rematch. That’s why they avoided Tua. ThTs why Marciano would be a problem. He had a great left hook and power in both hands. I think Wlad would beat a lot of good fighters I just don’t pick him here. Marciano was 11-0 w 11KOs against men over 200. I don’t think weight was an issue. Although he never did fight a man as large and athletic as Wlad. Wlad never met a man quite like Marciano.

Again: licking the ass of someone just because of some sport is pathetic. In any way, what have you ever done?

James Toney would not have been able to stand in front of the Heavyweights he did if he wasn't as heavy as he was, even then he got dropped by a jab from Samuel Peter and comfortably outboxed in the second fight, Toney also said no one hit him as hard as Samuel Peter hell those fights did not do good for Toney's health. Even George Foreman once said the added weight gave him the ability to take the punches better in his comeback.

Like I said no Heavyweight would be dumb enough to weigh in at 202 pounds these days and fight a guy like Tyson Fury and if they did weigh that they are not going to win. Guys like Eddie Chambers and Steve Cunningham weighed close to that weight in Heavyweight fights and couldn't win the big one. Wilder weighed 209 for the first fight with Fury I believe but has super Heavyweight proportions to help him out along with freakish power which he can carry all 12 rounds but at the end of the day still wasn't enough.

Also I've already mentioned some of the guys Marciano beat over 200 pounds, many of them had terrible records and the best over 200 pound fighter he beat was a worn down Joe Louis. No one he ever fought had the mix of size and skill of Wladimir, I don't think you can actually comprehend what Marciano would look like opposite Wladimir Klitschko.

Why was there no 5'10 185 pound Heavyweight champions with a minus 70 inch reach after Marciano? For Marciano to land a left hook on Wladimir he has to get past his jabs and straight right and not to mention deal with Wladimir's leaning on, Marciano never felt power or strength like Wladimir.

Like I said Marciano is tougher than Wladimir, much more entertaining and likely a better street fighter but physics can be a real b!tch at times.

Not licking anyone just stating a fact, calling someone who done as much as him a coward is pretty much prime internet mentality.

I've competed in MMA, BJJ and Muay Thai but that doesn't matter.

You competed and then who're you anyway? I also do powerlifting and martial arts, yet don't dare to call every idiot I see such, so consider it I was polite with you enough. And yes - you lick his ass or a little closer to.

@Entaowed you will never hear evidence some boxing judges were corrupted, while the last few years we had plenty of examples, so yes – or you’re ignoring facts, or you don’t see them (like the most recent one: Usyk-Joshua II and Glen Feldmann). So, believe whatever you want, we’re not going to change each other’s opinion.

If you are unaware if testing post-fight is likely to mean something, but I am, and some top athletes do it right after contest (or whatever) because there’re ways to hide all traces of before got caught. It is simply not the same if you’re tested before or after, this isn’t the place to explain.

I am not talking of Wlad getting bigger, he changed, got leaner, too low percentage of body fat, veins. So, we’re talking different things it seems. Just see Rocky when started boxing and when ended boxing and then think again if he shows signs of any PEDs usage.

And again: I expressed my opinion about Wlad. Didn’t go against anyone else’s just because I consider it stupid for which reason it’s pointless to continue this dispute, conversation or whatever you like to call it, but I'll note that you had the culture of doing it, not like the 94-one.

I am not going to spam with videos of Pulev saying the same things, as they're in Bulgarian and one might say he claims so because he lost, so here're the claims of someone way bigger than Pulev who mocked at Wlad and yet confirms Klitschko's dirty games:

So yeah - Wlad is not only a chicken heart, he's a pu**y - the "big champion" decides what are the gloves his opponent is going to fight with. I wonder if he cares about the underwear as well...

Why no re-watch Wlad's fight against Povetkin and see how out of 36 minutes like at least 20 were clinching, of course, performed by Wlad. That's how classy he was, yet he got away with only a point deduct.

Again all the fights he's been in though and you say he's a coward? That's just ridiculous bro, he had more fights than Rocky ever did too. Could you say he was sneaky with the ring and dirty with the holding? Yeah sure why not, we know the Klitschko's ain't the first guys in boxing to have control of the gloves and ring size/padding and they certainly won't be the last.

His clinching in the Povetkin fight was way too much but that's what he does to wear people down and it works, it's not aesthetically pleasing but it worked and it would work even more on guys that would be Cruiserweights or even light Heavyweights in this day and age.

Another poster who over emphasis weight and reach. If Marciano fought today he wouldn’t weigh 185. I don’t think a 185 pound Marciano would be able to do enough against Wlad. But a modern trained 215 pound Marciano with all functional weight and more explosiveness? I’ll take that guy all day. Weight is not a skill nor is it hard to add. And yes we have numerous examples of men from the before steroid era and after. Holmes, Foreman, Holyfield all come to mind quickly. All weighed far less before the transition and all comfortably gained 20 plus pounds to compete. I’ve already mentioned David Tua and Tyson and Frazier as all men 5’10. They did ok for themselves. Marcianos reach was the shortest in history for a champion so I don’t expect to many to match his reach but he did ok for himself. Physics and all

Marciano's primitive defense was based on his flexibility at his hips, leaning and crouching at acute angles to avoid his more talented foes. He could do this at 185, and even then, his back was in constant miserable shape. Add 20 pounds and he is less flexible and even more stationary, and those back issues multiply. He's basically a sitting duck who must enter the other fighter's wheelhouse at his own peril. And also, his alleged workrate (which did demonstrate at times and not at others) would diminish, making him a plodding bowling ball with a tiny toolbox and a shallower gas tank.

If you are having to invent a new fighter in the discussion, rather than the one who actually existed, you have already lost the argument.

    Wlad KO4.
