No they pulled out if chisora (mismatch) for the haye fight (biggest hw fight in the last ten years).

Vitali fought chispra but by then he'd already been beaten by fury. Chisora was never a good fight to take, low risk low reward exactly the kinda fight the champ is receiving stick for now with wach and pianeta.

 

Not true. He pulled out in Dec 2010 a few days before the fight that was taking place in a sold out stadium. It was rescheduled for April 2011 and he pulled out again.

Chisora showed against his much tougher brother that he would of given him hell and would of been his hardeset fight in a long time. A lot more of a handfull than Haye was.

Win or lose isn't the point, the point is they didn't take the risk. They carefully select opponents who they know are unwilling to to dig deep and take some to land some. Chisora didn't tick those boxes.

A lot of people were excited about the fight at the time ,including myself and Sky gave it plenty of coverage.

Chisora was seen as a cherry pick. Sky gave it coverage because chisora is British and wlad is a world champion. I wanted chisora to win because he is British and a heavy underdog but noone considered it a risky fight. It was seen as an obstacle to the haye fight at the time.
