His debut weight was 169 - SMW? And he fought amatuer around those class too.

And I believe Walcott and Moore outweigh Marciano in their fights too.

 

Marciano is so overated

 

I think Marciano would eventually get to him, late in the fight

He just needs one punch to land on the chin and it's his, and stamina is no problem for him

 

under this assumption, it's fair to say rocky wins. i just don't subscribe to that. there aren't a lot of fighters i would say only need one hit to take out wlad...rocky aint one of them

 

Sanders needed only one hit. He never recoverd after that and was finished of in the secong round with another single hit....Brewster sapped the stenght from him with one shot and was able you walk him down to the the tko a few rounds later.

 

sanders hit him a bunch of times though...i'll admit wlad was ****ed after that first straight left. he never recovered. brewster didn't sap his strength with one punch. he landed a great body shot, took a **** kicking and eventually knocked out wlad. neither of those is a one shot knockout situation. wlad KEPT GETTING UP.

the implication is that rocky would need one right hand and out goes wlad. that's unrealistic.

 

Breakdown down the tape and Sanders only hit him with two flush shots. One in the first and another one clean on the chin in the second.......After the second round against Brewster Wlad is exhausted in his corner. He comes out and almost gets dropped with a jab......Big men like Wlad dont have great stamina and need a controled pace....Haye was a fool not to go to his body and just looked for headshots all night.....

 

:thinkgood post dino. i'll rewatch the sanders fight but you may well be right. and the brewster fight was absolutely decided both on his left hooks and wlad's exhaustion.

the wlad of today paces himself MUCH better...even though i love the mercer-fight wlad, i doubt he could do that for 12 rounds

 

I was meaning Rocky would only need one punch to change the fight in his favor once he gets a clean punch off it'll be his fight and if Wlad does get up Marciano will be throwing non stop power punches till the end of the fight, and he will knock him out eventually

 

do you see rocky hitting with more power and accuracy in one punch than wlad?

 

No but i see him being able to hit hard consistently over the entire fight
Rocky can hit as hard as he wants for the entire fight and this will only be 12 rounds so pretty much everyshot will be a power shot and with needing just one to land on the chin i mean the law of averages suggests that he should land atleast once on his chin unless Wlad is Pernell Whitaker or Willie Pep at heavyweight now...

 

:yep nah, he ain't. but i don't subscribe to one of rocky's shots turning the tide so dramatically. nor do i subscribe that he can hit as hard as he wants past taking a few of wlad's straight rights.

i honestly feel that will dampen his spirits a bit and wlad is so much more precise...and faster.

 

Wlad hasn't fought a guy like Rocky that has power AND great stamina to use his power all the way to the end, what happens when Rocky dosen't get tired after round 5 or 6?, and still comes at Wlad throwing hard punches to the body and head of course, then what happens to Wlad...

 

i hear what you're saying but getting hit with bombs of a right hand, CONSTANT jabs and behind manhandled inside will negate marcianos attack. do you see him being as constant, as effective in the 10th round against wlad? after swallowing jab after jab and right after right while never getting within range?

the assumption is he'll be the same rocky against wlad as he was on film. i don't see that...i feel he'll be more hurt than expected and rocky will grow less and less effective as wlad turns on the heat. he won't be swinging away in the 11th if he's knocked out in the 8th
