Wladimir Klitschko vs. Valuev

wlad is far to good for valuev. wlad is extremely strong and is very fast. wlad would bust him up than ko him.

 

Wladimir KlitschKO by KO. Wladimir hits so hard. Incredible power in both hands. And speed.

 

Wladimir is no doubt strong enough to get the KO but unless Valuev looked like he was really ready for the taking I dont think he would go for it

There is no debate as far as upper body and head movement.

Chagaev and especially Haye CLEARLY move their upper body better than Klitschko.

To assume otherwise is ridiculous. In fact, there may not be any video evidence of Klitschko ever ducking a punch available.

 

What people don't understand or are not letting themselves admit, that Wlad's defense has not been proven against this type of fighter, and when confronted against a guy who had a similiar build to him, (TONY THOMPSON), who was even more straight up and less agile, Wlad still had trouble with him.

And Tony Thompson by no stretch of the imagination is a great fighter. He's a guy with an inflated record built on nobodies who manages to be dominant because of his SIZE and his lack of competition.

Wlad should have easily been able to take advantage of numerous openings, but because of Wlad's seeming lack of agility, despite Thompson being completely open to the body and the same size as Wlad, Wlad took 11 rounds to dispatch this guy in a somewhat competitive fight.

Now if Wlad can't even land the type of body shots that he should have been able to land and end a fight with Thompson early, what makes you automatically think he'll be able to chop down Valuev?

Klitschko's defense which involves lateral movement and moving straight back will not be enough against Valuev.

Think about it.

Haye who easily has the best agility and movement and hand speed in the division had to duck Valuev's punches on numerous occasions.

Now pretend that he didn't duck. Would he have won that fight just on his lateral movement alone? Doubtful.

And the fact that Wlad and Haye are not known for their chins, you can pretty much throw an Arthur Abraham style of defense out the window.

Fact is, Valuev's 4 inch reach advantage and his great chin, combined with his cautious but still foward moving style, will be a nightmare for Wlad.

That's not to say that Wlad won't win. Vitali most certainly probably would because I've seen him do things in the ring that Wlad hasn't, but Wlad may find this as one of the hardest fights of his life and will be lucky to make it out with a decision.

UNLESS of course Wlad has a mysterious uncovered dimension that we don't know about. But all that stiff muscle mass makes it difficult to believe it's in him.

Why hasn't this fight happened?

 

And I didn't catch the footwork part. His footwork is not better than Haye's.

 

Valuev seems to be vulnerable if someone clocks him exactly on the chin tip from a left hook, for some odd reason. Which happens to be the only hook Wlad can throw. Watch Wlad buckling Peter with a single well timed left counter hook, after unsuccessfully hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink with straight shots, without any sign of damage. Valuev will be open to that jumped-in left hook from Wlad the entire fight, and I think Wlad will train a LOT on that specific punch now if he faces him. Sooner or later they land, and then Valuev will get grinded down from it.

But at first, Valuev will simply wait on his bed for the Haye rematch, and then when he has no other options, might take a fight with Wlad if that one offers it. I don't see this fight earlier than end of next year.

Yeah, a guy throwing dozens of powerpunches a round that are "just straights" for sure is a lot more boring than a guy with corny braids who RUNS the entire round minus 10 seconds, for some two hooks of which one hits the back or arms. I mean, them are some really corny braids, you know. Just have the right preferences to acknowledge that beauty, and boom you enjoy twelve rounds of heavyweight jogging like it's Haze vs. Snow in an anything goes.
