Who wins this? How good would be Klitschko without all of his dirty stuff?

No clinching at all? Then Wlad is completely ****ed against damn near anyone, let alone Mike.

Your fantasy sport without boxing: Mike easy.
    Actual boxing: Wlad easy.

So if Mike runs into Wlad's midsection and they end up clinching who gets disqualified? Wlad or Mike?

In a no-holding-allowed fight Wlad could barely handle Jennings the janitor.

First, holding and clinching has always been a part of boxing,
even in the glory days, guys held and repositioned themselves
and other boxers and shoved on the inside. Wlad's holding
has been excessive at times. I think Tyson's speed
and ability to close distance and get inside so quickly befuddles
    Wlad and he's stopped quickly.

You realize Tyson even in his 'Prime' was more than happy to clinch don't you? Even more so after he came back after Prison.

Tyson wins no matter what and early too. Far too fast and explosive.

Actual boxing to you means grabbing, holding, clinching and leaning? Lol.

None of that would make a shred of difference anyway, prime Tyson walks straight through any version of Wlad.

Well it's impossible to stop all clinching as others have mentioned it's apart of the sport to some degree. But if you're talking about a scenario where Wlad and Tyson have a ref that penalises Wlad for excessive clinching then I'd be confident Tyson wins, likely by KO.

Lets be real here, Wlad's excessive clinching is down to his lack of lateral movement against aggressive fighters. He can't control range well unless he has an opponent who is either too scared or incapable to take it to him like Haye or he is allowed to clinch excessively. If he had better movement he could do what Lewis and Vitali did against aggressive opponents and out manoeuvre them without having to resort to clinching.

Tyson would have no problem getting inside on Wlad. He slipped better jabs with ease than Wlad possesses and Wlad has no uppercut to keep Tyson from just rushing in with a quick weave of his head to slip his jab. Once inside Wlad has nothing to compete with Tyson, all he has is the clinch, without it he's lost.

He can't keep him on the outside and he can't win on the inside, barring a lucky punch, I can't see how Wlad wins. Unless of course he is allowed to clinch and spoil his way to a decision.

Truth is though that Lewis held Tyson for 2-3 rounds, and excessively so. He got a point deducted for holding. Tyson tired out and Lewis started to easily control him after 5-6 minutes into the fight.

I think Wlad could do likewise: Hold Tyson strategically to tire him out. Strategically lose two points as the ref deducts points for excessive holding. You do not get DQ'd instantly; that takes a while and lots of warnings. So Wlad could survive until round 4-5, then take out Tyson once he becomes a sitting duck.

I don't like it, but that's what it is.

You can't deny it when so many boxers, like Wlad, build their entire style around this maneuver.

    It's core.

Wlad's holding would not matter. Mike would still knock him out in a highlight reel KO.
