Interestingly I was talking to a friend when I was back home a couple of weeks ago and he is a semi professional footballer who has played with a broken little toe before, and he claimed Haye's excuses were bull**** and that he never really felt it when he was playing. I think running and kicking a ball would put more stress on a broken toe than simply pushing off the canvas to punch, and falling over repeatedly

 

lets put Hayes toe into perspective

this guy never mentioned his eye during the fight and never used it as an excuse...and came out with a draw over 10 rounds
and still MANAGED to throw 1085 PUNCHES and land 336!

To the winner go the spoils. If Haye had won people would be saying Wlad was flustered, acting out of character and Haye had got under his skin. Like they were saying before the fight. In truth none of it means nothing.

Fair point, but to be honest Wlad never looked too out of his comfort zone with the whole Haye thing. I feel both fighters thought they were going to win that fight, but Haye less so than when he first moved up from cruiserweight. I can't pinpoint it but I think at some point between Haye moving up and then finally stepping into the ring he developed a little bit more doubt than he had when he first started calling Wlad out. Maybe it was the celebrity lifestyle he'd gotten used to and finding he suddenly had a lot more to lose than he did before

 

Haye put on an act just to cash in wihtout getting knocked out. He had a good million dumbass Brits buying into his scam so he knew he had to cover every aspect to make it work.

 

Haye's a great actor, should move to Hollywood and try to make a career there, would be much better than his boxing career

wlad's such a subtly hilarious guy, honestly. vitali's more serious but wlad's funny. I would have no quarrel with him if he were more effectively aggressive in fights.
