No. He's beaten the best in his era, but his era sucks so completely he can't be taken that seriously. He's very good at what he does, but the majority of the 70s contenders would flatten him in quick time.

He does only hold one title.

Last time I looked, Valuev has the WBA, Vitali has the WBC.

WBO and Ring are simply bull**** titles. One organisation ranks dead people, the other serves only to sell magazines.

go back about 2 years and the beltholders were

    1. wladimir
    2. chagaev
    3. ibragimov
    4. peter

wlad had already beaten peter, and retrospectively we now know that was peter at his best, and wlad was still improving. then he went on to beat ibragimov, hardly a great fight but he won it without difficulty. last summer he beat chagaev. there is no way you can satisfy everyone, because there will always be fighters coming up that build up hype and are 'the next big thing'. unless a guy fights once a week there will always be guys like haye, solis, chambers- and for everyone one of those guys he beats another 2 will appear. i think it would be fair to say he dominated the division in (at least) the year running up to vitali's comeback

Well I have him currently at #20, and that may be a little conservative...there's a possibility he'd move up even if he retired tomorrow, as he would be retiring as unbeaten champion. As long as he continues to add to resume, he continues to move up. But I wouldn't describe his as great. The cut off point currently for me at HW and the word "great" is #14, so Wlad would have to make #15 to be considered great. He could make that if he boxes on.

I would say yes....hes close now but not there yet....a few more wins will get him in...but not close to the front...but still he should get in the top 30.

He´s the dominating force in the division and eventhough the division seems to be weak, i would say Wlad will be an ATG. Not top 10 though, lack of the ability to go to war is missing.

Top 15. Can give him top 10 because this era is so terrible. Sadly I think it will get worse.

Wlad is the best today. I can't predict accurately how he would have done against champions from the past. All I know is that right now, no active heavyweight in the world can beat him.

What are you talking about? Lewis was knocked out cold! What could be worse than that?

Wlad in comparison to Lewis has monumental chin :nut

Not in the heavies there won't. The most recent young up and commers that anyone gave a **** about were a young Tua, Ibeabuchi and Wlad himself. The heavyweight division is awful.

so now to discredir wlad about his titles, you discredit the belts.

Bottom line, RING,WBO,IBF,IBO (ok maybr IBO not uo there)

so if your fav fighter had the wbo or ring belts, you woulndt say your fighter is champ? yeah right...im sure all of a sudden those belts would be #1 in your eyes:yep
