No one really outside of Britain fancies Haye over either Klit. One thing you can bet on, he would give either of them a much tougher fight while it lasted than anyone else has in the last few years though.

He has a punchers chance against Wlad, but with Wlad having the better defense and more systematic offence you would favour him to get the job done first. Its a brilliant matchup though.

Wlad would still win imo. Haye, just like all of the other opponents for the past 5-6 years, always say they'll beat Wlad. Yet the same result happens......Wlad wins. And somehow people are getting excited and saying Haye is such a good boxer after he beat Ruiz. Ruiz is washed up and had lost 3 of his last 6 fights before he fought Haye.

Exactly: Ruiz is washed up. His last good "win" was Golota in 2004.

I could see Vlad knocking Haye out with a jab!

Haye's an athletic guy for his size, and obviously packs quite a whallop, but I don't find him at all impressive in the skills department. Not to mention he has his own durability issues to be concerned with in a matchup with Wlad. His only hope would be to storm him from the opening bell and look to catch him cold with one of his "hayemakers". Pretty accurate nickname, that.

Vlad has a great defense. Vitali has great defense also, plus a granite chin. Klitschkos are very hard to fight.

Let me say, I haven't really changed my opinion of Haye since he was cw champ in terms of his physical skills. However, he's a lot smarter than i thought he would be after the Barrett fight. He's adopted a very cautious hw style as strickly a power counter puncher which protects his weak chin and lack of stamina. He's done a good job against two legit but mediocre hws. Based on these 2 wins, Haye clearly has established himself as legit hw and I would group him in with guys like Povetkin, Chambers, Arreola, Chagaev, Thompson. The order really is splitting hairs at this point...

Now to Wlad-Haye...If you let a 2010 version of wlad control distance and tempo...you will lose 100%. You must pressure Wlad constantly and drag him into a war to give yourself a chance. It has to turn into a very physical fight in order for wlad's tight defense and crisp movement to begin to waver. 2005 Peter and Arreola had/have the styles but lack certain elements such as defense to avoid getting badly damaged.

imo, Haye has very little chance...he won't apply that kind of pressure on wlad, has a very low workrate, and below average stamina. Basically, Haye's best chance is landing one big counter early to do the job. Highly unlikely considering Wlad's style, speed, jab, experience, and footwork. Haye will need to change his strategy for this fight and become far more aggressive. The problem is...he's really a very good counter-puncher and terrible as an attacker. It's really a catch 22.

Still I'd like to see it but Wlad will fight Povetkin first which Im happy about since Povetkin has been a mando for more than 2 years, ranked the #2 contender in the world and unbeaten. Long overdue.

Haye's better off trying with Vitali hoping he's aged badly overnight or gets hurt during the fight. maybe a few of those rabbit punches could do the job :think

It's never a good idea to run around the ring with your hands at your waist against a guy with a great jab.

As much as I would love Haye beat Wlad I cant see it. The only way is for David to land a devastating KO very early on before Vlad finds rhythm with his jab and starts to use distance. I think Wlad and Steward have worked seriously on what to do after a KD so even if haye drops him following it up wouldnt be easy

Vlads jab would hurt David, and he will land it...often.

    Saying that..cmon Hayemaker!
