Apparently, a lot of people give a ****. The events fill out stadiums and have much larger gates than similar event 32 years ago. But since the champ now lives in Germany and NOT in America, most of those who give a **** are Germans or Europeans, and not Americans. Pretty simple, really. Nothing new there, Rosey. 32 years ago, the welterweight champ was a bigger draw and a bigger moneymaker than the HWt champ. You could look it up. :yep
Another first class performance on the road to glory. In practical terms he will become the longest reigning HW champion very soon.
wladimir is a good fighter, people need to get off the hate. he's beaten everyone in front of him besides his brother. Vitali would win that fight by the way.
So if us Americans aren't good enough to fight in the division then the division doesn't matter? That sounds fair.........:rofl:rofl:rofl
nothing to do with it. I just have zero respect for him as a sportsman as he isnt one. Not in my book. I dont begrudge djoker his titles because he wins them against the best players. Wlad however is fighting dudes off the street nobody heard of
Wladimir is one of the greatest heavyweights of all-time. Now throw him into one of the worst heavyweight eras ever and you're going to get a lot of fights that people don't care much about and you're also going to get people growing bored with his dominance. Not his fault. He's doing the right things - racking up title defenses, which is what I expect him to do about 10 or so more times before he retires. History will be kind to Wladimir Klitschko. I will miss him ruling the division when he steps away.
Agree. Haye, Ibragimov, Byrd, Peter, Brock, Chambers, Chagaev, Barret, Rahman, McCline, Mercer are all bums people never heard of.
If he keeps fighting the Pianettas and Mormecks of the world, he can come out with a hundred wins without having lost a round in decades for all I care.. it doesn't mean ****.
