On paper probably Haye and Byrd. Byrd is the greater HW of the two but likely a tad weaker H2H. Also, Wlad's performances against Byrd were highly impressive whereas the Haye fight was a stinker mostly.
"Throughout his reign, Wlad has only beaten 3-4 fighters ranked in the top 10." And now you name 6 guys that never fought Wlad for whatever reason. You've either trolled me a long time or you're just the most ******ed person on this whole board tied with Charlie Z Also you're on my ignore list now so you don't have to respond anymore.
Did he beat them? No he didn't. Whats ******ed about that fact. Have a little cry and come back when you're ready.
Its laughable his best win is an ex middleweight who never done anything at Heavy. Won against Vitali by default and Holyfield was years past his prime with bum ticker. Thats his best win out of 60 fights?
I thought he boxed well against vitali and would have took it on points had vitali not quit. Holy went on to get robbed by valuev. Plus he has wins over Tua, Oquendo, Williamson (who he rates the hardest puncher he faced incidentally) and McCline. Then again I quite liked Byrd as he was usually the underdog in his fights. But yeah I rate that as his best win. Clearly above Haye imo.
Going into the 10th Byrd had only won 1 round. Valuev was useless, just a giant with boxing gloves, and Holyfield still lost. Tua only ever had a punch in his prime as that was all he was thought. He was the fattest man to ever fight for a world title against Lewis. Besides all that , he was ****. He thought he could fight off the ropes and had good reflexes but he had nothing and never beat anybody of note at HW.
I had it 5-4 to.Vitali. Gave Chris rounds 5, 6, 7, 9. Valuev was nothing special but he did pick up a belt and is arguably Hayes best victory. Have you seen the Holy fight against Valuev? Tua came in bigger against a big Lewis, his own fault. He fought well against Byrd though. We disagree on what "of note" means. The point being, I don't see how Haye can be considered a superior victory unless you rank entirely on h2h.
Years ago ,cant remember it, i never had any interest in him. Haye has more skill and is a far far better boxer than Byrd. Golota working at only 50% was able to beat him. He never impressed me watching him. I thought he was useless.
h2h is debatable. byrd is proven at a higher level I feel. For what it's worht though, I would pick Haye over him, I'm jnot sure iof that is enough to consider him a more worthy scalp though.
