Haye ran away did he? I suppose that meant Wlas was chasing after him , yeah? I don't remember any of this happening. What fight did you watch?
I'd say Haye but I would also like to mention Sam Peter 1 simply because of the circumstances around it. The first really dangerous (or at least seen as at the time) opponent in the rebuilding process.
Ibragimov was nothing special and that "fight" will go down as one of the worst heavyweight World championship fights ever.
Or Haye vs Harrison and Povetkin vs Grant (if you call those to be for the Heavyweight World Championship of course )
Voted Peter. It was the one fight he won where he had to overcome adversity. Peter is not nearly as skilled as say, Byrd, but he was big strong and confident. Byrd is a better fighter than Peter, but he could not hurt Wlad.
Chris Byrd has wins over Vitali,Holyfield,Tua,McCline etc and people want to say Haye has a better record
Povetkin. Undefeated Olympic gold medalist, European and World amateur champion, as well as the WBA (paper) titlist. Then there is David Haye, Chagaev and probably Ibragimov and Byrd. Don't understand the people voting for Byrd though. He never had the attributes to beat Klitschko, nor was he the most accomplished among these guys.
Chris Byrd was a disaster in the rematch. Standing there, no movement and catching Wlads shots on his gloves while waiting to be knocked out. GGG could of beaten that version of Byrd.
