Just about average. Good enough to handle a few punches, and his offense was usually good enough to keep opponents busy from hitting him first. Not a glass jaw like David Price or Oleg Maskaev; those guys basically buckled and their legs turned to rubber on the first punch that hit them.

 

But damn Oleg was entertaining!
