You misunderstood. Its not about that at all. Its an a nalytical observation of skills , punching technique , stamina , work rate , movement - in direct contrast to the scene today. Boxing isn't the HW division. The HW division is not boxing. Ray Robinson fought Joey Maxim at an absolute fierce pace under debilitating heat. Its was such a non stop battle in the ring - the ref needed replacing. The ref had to be carried out the ring he was so knackered in the 13th round. Such fighters simply don't exist anymore. So its obvious people have a very shallow knowledge of the sport when they claim fighters today are far superior than those of the past. Joshua may be too big for Marciano , but he isn't quarter of the fighter or athlete. And according to stats Jim Brown born in the 1930's is one of the greatest in NFL history.
Excepting your "shallow knowledge" cracks, I don't necessarily disagree with most of what your saying. Modern SHW's are certainly less athletic than the past HW's. And regardless of H2H etc, Louis and Ali are still my #1 and #2 hw's just as Jim Brown is my #1 running back.
that cant be true, but they are definitely more than Joshua. Most people kinda know them as "those 2 giant Russian brothers", so if that counts for fame perhaps then.
