Everyone overrates black fighters in USA, they have some weird obsession with black people with huge biceps, it comes from the NFL or NBA or something. Joshua is athletic under which objective criteria exactly?
wlad displayed some awesome longevity (facing fry when 37, which is old in HW titlist terms) but coupled with some of the poorest standards of HW reigns (a kind of sub-euro, at times subnational level of defending).
no, exceptionallybig frames, be in muscle, fat, bone simply hold back your cardio. that's the physics of it, no one can deny it. anyone obsessed with muscles should go watch WWF.
There were no better fighters. Americans can't produce a solid contender anymore after Eastern Euros and Cubans are allowed to box
Exactly. There's nothing athletic about Joshua. He's an overrated bum who shouldn't even have that gold medal. I don't think he would beat Pulev, Duhaupas or Ortiz at this moment, yet alone Wlad, Wilder and Fury.
Among the greatest heavyweight reigns of all time. 24 total title defenses (2nd highest in history), 18 consecutive title defenses.
The **** about Wlad beating "Euro-level" fighters is ridiculous. We can also say that Louis, Ali etc. were only beating American-level fighters because there's hardly any European on their resume. They boxed at a time when half of Europe wasn't allowed to box. As soon as Eastern Europeans entered the pro boxing they wiped out Americans from heavier divisions (175 and up). If there was no communism it would have happened decades ago
Wlads fought none of the last four titlists, half of whom are American. Not saying they have proven themselves any good (yet) - but he didn't fight them.
America is as big as Europe, not sure what you are getting at. Ali certainly beat the best of the euros, why are you complaining?
I'm not claiming hes athletic? whats this bee under your bonnet? don't associate your problems with me.
An interesting thing is that we could arguably discredit Joe Louis' title reign much easier than Wladimir Klitschko's. The World War II started on 1st September 1939, ended on 2 September 1945. During that time, Joe Louis made 15 title defenses. 13 of those 15 were against fellow Americans and 2 were against the same guy from Chile. If we take out those 15 title defenses because of the WW2, Joe Louis only had 10 title defenses, 8 of which were against boxers from his own country. Not that impressive. :smoke
